We’ve been to JT’s many times over the years both in large groups and on our own. Today was two of us for lunch. First of all, these are great restaurants to watch sporting events as there are TVs everywhere!
The food is consistent in quality, taste and presentation. I’d call it generally slightly above average of similar chains.
We had the Firecracker Shrimp Tacos and the Wilson Wings with a side of tater tots. The tacos were great and a great value as they were loaded with shrimp and a good variety of fillings and were around $13. She brought 2 home for dinner! The wings were cooked perfectly with a 50/50 mix of drums and blades. The tots taste good but were luke warm. This was the only let down of the day.
The service, from hostess to server, was very, very good. The server, especially, nailed it. Perfect timing on each encounter. Perfect attitude. “Read the room” perfectly to engage with the amount of attention we needed and didn’t need.
Overall, as usual, good lunch!

I am here twice a week, come every Monday for pizza special which is great. Tonight was the best service I ever experienced here. Our servers name was Taylor, she was smiley and polite, joked around with us and service was fast and efficient.
I have been visiting this Johnny’s for 2-3 years now and this is the first time I have ever experienced service worth raving about. It’s never horrible don’t get me wrong, but Taylor made an impression and did an amazing job.

Probably the worst meal we’ve ever had!! 8 of us, everything was overcooked and most was burnt, actually charred black and the waiter never came back once to check on us. The chicken fingers were burnt and tasted disgusting like they hadn’t cleaned their grease in months. That’s our 3rd time, and we will never eat there again. This is why Iron house had an hour wait and you can just walk in Johnnys. Next time we will wait for good food. $180 for a lunch that none of us ate. When we showed him the burnt food he replied, I’ll tell the cook. Never even comped the sent back food that was inedible. Not one refill the entire meal for anyone. It has to be the worst place in KC!!! If the parking lot is empty, I’m clearly not the only one thinking that and all other restaurants are packed. Too bad we were impatient, won’t make that mistake again, we will wait for decent food and better service before we ever walk in Johnnys!!

Only been here once so I can’t give a full review, but the food was tasty, reasonably priced, and it wasn’t very busy since they just opened. Like how there is a tv at every booth, so it would be a great place to watch sports. Overall the first visit was great, and will go back again.

I’m giving this a 2 for two reasons. When we walked in and asked for a table instead of a booth (I’ve had recent foot surgery and am on a knee scooter)we had to request 4 different times. The two girls at the hostess station seemed determined to put us at a booth. Their attitude and expression were completely flat. Not a smile in sight.
Next the tvs were so loud we could barely have a conversation. The pizza was excellent and the service good

Went on a date night here recently on a Friday night. Was having such a good time I forgot to take photos! 🙂 We were seated quickly and the food & service were spot on. The ONLY thing I disliked was the T.V. at each booth table. Found it distracting.

Great place to have a meal and watch any sporting event you are interested in. Nice Happy Hour specials and solid menu makes this a place to take family and friends. Tasty pizza and burgers and a great pork tenderloin sandwich make this a spot I will never mind going to grab a bite or a drink.

Food was much better this visit vs. a couple of years ago, imo. Burgers were very good, fish and shrimp was also good. Pizza was still mediocre at best. Still like the atmosphere with lots of televisions to watch sports. Our server was very kind and attentive.

Everything is usually so good all around but unfortunately this time our food was not as good as usual. Possibly because it was a game day. The dip size was way to small for the price and our pizza dough wasn’t fully cooked and was kind of a mess. Other than that everything else was great!
