Stayed at the Wyndham, where the restaurant is located on the ground level with separate dining rooms and a bar area. Service was excellent and the waitstaff was friendly. We ordered a kids’ burger for my daughter and the grilled octopus with a side of arugula—surprisingly good for room service and exactly what we were looking for. Their food is consistently reliable and never disappoints.

Been coming here for years and for the first time disappointed. I’ve always looked forward to the blueberry pancakes, they made them better than anyone. When I came this time they weren’t available, buffet only. Tried to get her to make them but nope. End of a great breakfast spot. The buffet was okay and lots of food, but won’t be legendary like the blueberry pancakes I used to drive 100 miles for.

Stayed at the Wyndham where restaurant is on the ground level. There are separate dining rooms and a bar area. Great service, friendly bar and waitress staff. Wend there for late night drinks followed by breakfast. I had the “breakfast Sandwich”, a BEC on a Croissant with home fries while she had “the classic”, two eggs with home fries along with a side of the fruit cup and coffee. Everything was tasty, on a late Monday AM, we were one of two tables being served but I heard that the early morning it gets very busy.

We came here for dinner one night and it was good. It’s very much a “hotel restaurant” which felt extremely corporate and lacking in terms of character or true decoration. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and the food was brought out fresh. My husband got the fish and chips which he said was fishy. I got the boiled lobster dinner which was good. It came with rice pilaf and broccoli which I enjoyed. For dessert, we both got the special dessert of sticky toffee cake which, flavor-wise, was delicious. The only complaint was that we were told it was served warm but the toffee sauce on top was still congealed and the cake was cool (not cold as they’d probably microwaved the chill off of it). Also, don’t order a hot tea unless you want to overpay for a cup of hot water and a teabag ($4).

I came here for a 20 year club dinner for my job. Our server was amazing and food was awesome! We got a few appetizers, a few girls got the Surf and Turf, one got a Club Sandwich, and Chocolate Covered Strawberries. I got the boiled lobster, a strawberry Malibu Blast and a Caramel Basket. Definitely recommend!!

My first time experiencing thanksgiving out of the norm. I loved it . Great hospitality amazing people to share this experience with. The food was excellent delicious. Totally worth it. We all had an amazing time. Looking forward to going next year this time with my first grandson. Blessings to staff that did such a phenomenal job.

We made reservations weeks in advance for Thanksgiving for a party of 14, including two children under five. Upon our arrival, the two ladies in the banquet room were not very welcoming. When we mentioned that our party had been split up, they simply replied, “Oh well, that’s the reservation.”
Throughout our visit, we never saw a server attend to us. To make matters worse, the turkey ran out, leaving us disappointed. When we went to leave, a man approached us with a bill that included a 20% gratuity. We were perplexed, as we had received no service whatsoever. The corporate and rude demeanor of the hostesses was off-putting, and we felt there was insufficient food available.
Overall, our experience was far from satisfactory.

Very impressed with the whole experience. Staff was attentive and courteous. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was romantic and elegant. There was a reception for a wedding going on which added to the ambience. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. Our dinner was amazing. Appetizers were superb. We will be coming back our next trip to Newport.

We ordered 3 cups of clam chowder, a lobster roll with fries, 4 shrimp cocktail and it came to $112 for a takeout order. It wouldn’t have mattered if the food was actually good and a decent portion size, but it was a measly portion of lobster for a $36 roll. We couldn’t even eat the clam chowder because it tasted sour. So disappointed. We went to the Engine Room for lunch in Mystic the same day and it was the same amount of money for 5 meals and better quality food. They also up charged each item for using DoorDash on top of a $12.99 DoorDash Service Fee. Not sure why we’re paying more for ordering takeout only on certain items.

My 15 yr old wanted a fancy dinner party with her friends. I called ahead and talked with Stevie who made sure everything was perfect, he even checked in with us when we arrived. our server was amazing attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. They accommodated meal changes, brought the girls to an area to take photos and even had the live musician come over and sing Happy Birthday.
We couldn’t have asked for a better evening!! I’d give more stars if possible.
