The chef here is a true artist!! It is very rare that you ask for a medium well done burger, and still get such a juicy patty out of it! The flavors in the light and fluffy waffle were so subtle, that I could taste each individual ingredient. Even the syrup did not drown out the buttermilk flavor. And last but not the least, the coleslaw was just absolutely devine! No other words to describe it!!

As an African American gay woman, in a predominantly white town. I came into this diner expecting the worst. I was met with the complete opposite. The servers were super kind and talkative , the atmosphere was home like, the cook was quick and the food tasted amazing! We waited less than 5 mins for all our food ! We spend 53$-60$ with tip, which isnt bad for what we got ! The grilled cheese was so perfect , I got seconds !

Today I went to johnnys restaurant. Here is the reason for the 3 stars… sitting at the booth where you can see behind the counter is the cook. And unfortunately after handing my omelette and cooking it, I see him touching a peice of bacon and then after that touch lettuce. I did not see throughout the entire time of my visit the chef wearing any gloves. It is imperative regardless of if you have washed your hands to always wear gloves to prevent any Cross Contamination. The food itself was fine. Nothing wrong with it. Which is why the food gets the rating it got

Service is important to any visit and they were friendly to me… so I had no issues there.

I spend a little more money than what I was planning to spend but it is what it is.

This review is not meant to bash the company but provide some constructive criticism to remind the staff that gloves are important to wear when handling food. It is not okay. Please do better.

Thank you for your time.

Best pancakes ever. Moist and hot. My wife had an omelette it was cheese and fluffy. The potatoes were very flavorful. Can’t wait to go back and try French toast. Old school diner. Short order cook. Been there 20 years

If someone offered to pay us to eat here, we would still not go ever again! The food was bland and the place was dirty. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 20 years- yellow oil stains on the walls. No room to move around if you sit near the window. We genuinely wrapped up all the food to go to be polite. We wont be finishing it. The atmosphere and environment was truly as bad as the food. When we sat down I said to my partner- “should we leave?” before we even ordered, lesson learned, shoulda left.

On Father’s day at the height of the busy period we had a 5-10 mins wait. This was perfectly acceptable as I could see them doing their best to seat everyone and treat each customer fairly.

I did not have to wait long for service as water and my order was taken. Even busy our waitress still provided great customer service and funny banter. She was able to offer suggestions on what would be best for the price when I asked for an extra item which would have cost me double the price.

The food came out much quicker than I expected. Delicious and well cooked. I enjoyed every bite.

Bathroom was clean and well kept.

Overall I enjoy my time at this diner. Definitely will be returning.

While driving to visit our son two days before Christmas, we found this place just off interstate 90. The food was a great selection of both classic breakfast and lunch dishes. We both had rubber sandwiches, mine with corned beef, my husband’s with pastrami – delicious!!!. The service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend this place for a great sit down meal a step above fast food.

Tiny diner, authenticity through the roof. Waitress Patty, owner/short order chef Nick are both friendly and enthusiastic about keeping the place authentic to its roots. Food was ready in about 90 sec. 10/10, no notes.
