Chicken breast was so perfectly cooked and skin mouthwatering crunchy. I picked it down to the bare bones. Corn nuggets actually have full corn inside. Gravy was excellent, tasted and looked just like my dad had made it in my home kitchen when I was growing up. Portions large. Restaurant super clean and sweet staff. Recommended the homemade strawberry cake and it didn’t disappoint. 5 stars all day long

First time back after reopening. Ordered 2 2 piece meals. Waited and got my food. Didn’t check the order at the restaurant. Drove home and realized I didn’t get anything that I ordered. You would expect to get what you ordered and not have to double check before you leave. 12 miles both ways. They gave me what I initially ordered but that doesn’t make it worth the trip if you have to go twice. Will not make the trip to go there specifically with out checking my order before leaving. Probably will just go to Popeyes. At least they get your order right the first time. Used to be a 2 or three times a week customer.

WOW! Had the Tuesday special ($10). Spicy (option) tenders, green beans, fries, sm drink (roll included&gravy). The photos may look generic but do not be fooled! I ate every crumb off my plate, the tenders had my nose running; I ended up eating my green beans all at once because I couldn’t stop.
The staff was polite and helpful and down to earth. The location was clean and homey. Service was fast and the food was served steaming hot and fresh. I WILL be coming back when I come through Kilgore again. Highly recommend!

I was really disappointed with this place. The prices are way too high for what you get. The chicken was not to bad but needs flavor, fish and shrimp all seemed small and frozen, not fresh at all. The “chicken fried steak” wasn’t even real meat — it tasted like soy or fake meat, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. The mashed potatoes were instant and had no flavor. Overall, the food quality just doesn’t match the price. Definitely not somewhere I’d recommend if you’re looking for good value or a real home cooked meal.
Also the best thing to do is grab your meal and leave, the inside is small and seating remindes you the old DQ seating setup.
