My husband and I came here for a date night and sat at the bar. Our bartender, Loanne, was amazingly attentive. She made suggestions on the menu, and made an excellent gin martini, in fact the best I have had in the Madison area. I ordered the Filet Oscar and my husband had the prime rib. Both were cooked perfectly! Tender, flavorful, and worth every penny! For dessert we had the creme brûlée which was absolutely to die for! Will be returning, especially if Loanne is the bartender! ♥️ (I didn’t get pics of the gin martini or my husband’s meal unfortunately, but I did get my meal and my espresso martini!)

Went here for lunch today and was happily content upon leaving. I was looking for a nice italian meal and was happy when I sat down. I ordered a glass of Chianti the lasagna with meat sauce and a side caesar salad. The dressing on the ceasar was made in house which I was pleasantly surprised by. The bread was warm and served with olive oil and grated parm. So delicious I had to take the rest home. The staff was pleasant and friendly. I did have to go to the bar to get service but it was a weird time of day so I understand. Prices are a bit on the high side but you get what you pay for. I will return for more.

Jacob the waiter was amazing so kind & good conversation.. the manger was so sweet.. came here for my birthday 3 hours away and couldnt be more impressed.. the food was just absolutely amazing from the appetizer to the soup & salad to the main course steak was cooked to perfection & even asked us to check our steak to make sure it was to our liking never experienced that.. if you haven’t been here before you absolutely need too!! The most genuine staff, and the most delicious food!! Thank you so much Johnny’s Italian restaurant! We will be returning for sure!!

Our Waiter, Chris, was very nice, timely, and managed his job well. He served us excellent food with a great attitude. There was a point our appetizer was forgotten but Chris compensated it. I’m very content with this experience and highly recommend going!

I was staying at the adjacent hotel which is why I ate here. Steph was my server and she was amazing. She gave me suggestions of where to go (I’m in town for work) to have a nice view while I tried cheese curds and other places to see which was above and beyond. She was very attentive and welcoming.
The house salad surprised me with everything that came on it. I tried the lasagne and it was great.
I wasn’t too sure about my choice when I walked in because the hostess didn’t even smile and looked at me like a had five arms or something when I said I was eating alone. Other than that one minute interaction, everything was perfect.

This is long overdue. We’ve been patrons of Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse in Sun Prairie for about three years, and it has truly become our Sunday home. We sit at the bar almost every week, and every visit is consistently exceptional — the food, the service, and the atmosphere. They always make us feel like family.
A special shoutout to Kate, whose bubbly, contagious personality lights up the entire bar. She’s warm, funny, and makes every visit memorable. She’s a huge part of why we look forward to our Sundays.
We also want to highlight Jeff, whose calm, professional, steady management style sets the tone for the whole restaurant. Not only does the staff clearly love working with him, but you can feel the collaborative, supportive culture he’s created.
And the food deserves its own mention. The filet mignon with the parmesan crust is consistently outstanding — one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. We also love the side of mushrooms; the portion is huge, the flavor is incredible, and it’s one of the best values on the menu. We almost always have leftovers because the serving is so generous.

This place is a gem hidden at the Hilton Garden Hotel. Our server Chris was very nice and attentive. The food was amazing, the appetizers could be meals, but the roasted banana cheesecake was to die for!
We will definitely be back again — even if it is just for desserts on some occasions.

Went Feb 6th. Chris was our waiter. Ordered sirloin and filet and both were done perfectly. My wife is particular about ordering rare and she was happy! The banana cheesecake was ridiculously good and I am not a cheesecake fan. Meal for 2 including dessert and 1 drink each was $100 plus tip.

The dinner was absolutely delicious, and the pacing of each course was spot on. The service was outstanding, we were lucky to have Chris taking care of us, and it was genuinely some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. He was incredibly kind and attentive, our water never dipped below half before being refilled, and he truly made the night feel like a proper fine-dining experience. Highly recommend.

The last two times we’d eaten here the food and service were excellent, but that was two years ago. We brought another couple out for a special birthday treat. What a disappointment it was this time! All four of us ordered a steak dish and all four received a sub-standard steak. Both prime ribs (one rare and the other medium) looked amazing, but every single bite was tough and gristly. I’ve never before had that happen with prime rib. The other two steaks were also a bit tough. The appetizer and side were fine, but the most important part of these meals were not. We won’t be coming back.
