They don’t just have burritos. This place was a nice surprise in the heart of the Imperial Valley. With other locations in El Centro and Bradley, it seems clear others like what they offer too. They have a pretty solid menu but I only tried the Barbacoa tacos. I tried one flour and one corn tortilla. Honestly, the flour was better, but they were both very good. If everything else is this good, I’ll go back. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and there is plenty of seating despite it getting busy at lunch.

Zero stars wasn’t an option. Waited 30 minutes in line for a burrito. Turned out they didn’t have the ingredients for the order. Be absolutely warned, they WILL let you sit in line for 30 minutes and then reveal they’re unable to serve food.

I come here just about every day for lunch to the point where the drive through worker knows who i am now. My go to is the half(small) order of fries w/ cheese & avocado sauce. Its the perfect size if you dont want to get too full from the regular size. Sometimes if i get regular i cant finish it(unless im a starving horse) but the half order does me well. Dont forget to ask for the SPICY hot sauce! Yaeir whos one of the workers here always has a nice & friendly attitude! Great food, great service!

Staff is always kind and friendly, but the food here is very expensive and it’s small portions. $8 for a small salad, you’re better off going to Farmer boys in paying the same price for a huge salad with a lot of toppings on it.

I paid $7 for carne asada fries w/cheese and guac(regular size), and this is how much they gave me(see photo).
I am a little disappointed for how much I paid and got very little compared to other restaurants. It’s also not the first time this happened, which means that these are the standard amount of fries they give.
With that said, I know their other meals are better and worth the price, especially the burritos.

Ordered flautas, described as” mexicali style”, I swear these were the frozen kind sold at Walmart or similar, since they tasted exactly the same. Feel deceived, lol…for the $13.00+ cost. Sauces were good. Will definitely not recommend or order again.

I have been going to johnnys for over 20 years, but the food quality has gone downhill. I ordered taquitos today I was very disappointed avocado didn’t even cover taquitos. Seems very skimpy.
