Love this place! Great mom and pop spot for a proper burger, dog and milk shake. Chicken sandwich is also great! You can tell they really care about the food they put out. So glad they were able to open back up after dealing with a fire. Support your local businesses and give them a try!

I used to live in Tempe years ago and I would come here pretty often. I enjoyed the taste and thought it was very good for the price. I’ve just visited again after a few years and it’s honestly just as good. The burgers are definitely made with care and made to order. The fries are tasty and crisp. The employees have always been nice. I’m not sure if it’s a local family owned place but it does feel like it. Definitely give this place a visit if you’re around.

I came to this joint on my recent trip to the Scottsdale area. I decided to stick to something consistent, mostly and landed at Johnny’s.
I placed a to-go order for a double cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. The burger was both hot and fresh. The veggies on it were cold and crisp w/the burger patty and cheese being HOT and well melted, respectively. The chili cheese fries were legit. Like awesomely legitimate. Hot. Cheesy. Chili-y. And not too dry like some fries w/toppings are. Get them. You won’t regret it.
All in all a solid spot and glad I stopped by!

I found this place by accident the first time eating here. Now I look for it whenever I’m in the area. Everything tastes fresh! Super clean environment. Very polite staff. As I was eating, I noticed customers ordering their sandwiches. They look good!

I wanted to try something new somewhere that had great burgers that were not broiled. Johnny’s burgers were amazing! The buns were toasted with sesame seed topping, the burgers had great flavor, and the garnish was fresh! My wife and I enjoyed the chili cheese fries. The establishment was very clean and welcoming. Will return for sure!

This is a real gem of a spot and I’ve been coming here a long time before leaving this review. The price is incredible especially for how good the food is. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly. I feel good spending my money here because it’s a family owned and my body always feels good after eating the food.

I came here on a recommendation from a coworker to check this place out after work and I’m glad I did! He told me they made a legendary type burger at this place and I had to check it out. This is a mom and pop shop with serious food standards. Everything cooked to order and made fresh, this burger was AMAZING. I had the single cheeseburger with bacon and mushrooms and it was so fire. They cook the crinkles fresh with your order and the fry sauce is a In-n-out / Cane’s hybrid. A definite must try! And as if the burger wasn’t good enough already, the had Gardinera for your burger, but they called them sweet/hot peppers…if you like savory you gotta get them! All in all you gotta try this place. Now I know why it was voted best burger in Tempe.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews, so I don’t really want to frame this as a negative review, but I felt compelled to leave this one despite it’s lower score. Overall, I didn’t really like this place. Maybe it’s just not my preference but there were several things that turned me off. We stopped in for dinner and got a cheeseburger, spicy chicken sandwich, and onion rings. The chicken sandwich was very overcooked. The piece of chicken was breaded and fried to the point where the chicken was actually dry inside. It was fairly thin and tough to chew and swallow. The chicken was not appetizing but I just decided to eat it anyway because it was otherwise sort of tasty and I didn’t want it to go to waste. I also didn’t have much time to order something else because we were late for our next appointment. The burger we ordered was just a cheeseburger with mayo ketchup and lettuce and it was just okay. I didn’t think it was anything special, but maybe just not my preference. The ketchup dispenser near the drink fountain did not work very well. The water from the drink fountain was cold and tasted pretty good. The onion rings were good. The restaurant had a bit of a smell to it when we walked in and it’s not really clear to me what it was. Almost kind of smelled like old musty cleaning supplies or something. Who knows, maybe I visited an off-day, but I don’t think I’ll bother going back.
