Trust me on this one
Bartender/server treated both herself and her customers like poison. It was shocking to experience.
Examples….Questions about the food, drinks, prices were met with silent glares or dismissive one-word answers. Wrong plates were put down at our table, then minutes later moved to the correct tables (gross). All the while being treated like pests. It was so, so uncomfortable. Normally I’d pay, thank, & walk out in these situations, but we stayed because had heard good things about the food.
The food… Steak & brie wrap was cold & chewy, noodle bowl quite basic, and the schnitzel was actually incredible to be fair. Nacho cheese ‘poutine’

Absolutely terrible food. I have ate here many times but the new cook is terrible. Medium rare steak came medium well..after 1 hour.. and baked potato came as double stuffed!!?? Not going back. F.

Really good experience overall. Our server was really on top of things. Hubby said that was one of the best dinner he has had since we moved from Ontario. His Salmon was amazing and the spinach stuffed chicken was so delicious. I’m a retired Executive Chef and very hard to please. Congratulations your team nailed it. Definitely will be returning

We make it a regular stop for either breakfast or supper whenever passing thru or staying in Humbolt. Pleasant atmosphere and great friendly service as well. The food is amazing. A block off one of the main drags and definately worth the stop. Cannot wait for our nxt visit. Menu has many different choices depending on what ur craving!!! ✌️

Probably one of the best meals I have ever had, hands down. We had gotten loads of recommendations from friends and family while we were visiting the area and it was well worth it. I had gotten the beef dip and the gravy, beef, and cheese were all perfect. I think I could eat different beef dips the rest of my life and nothing would surpass Johnny’s. It was so good we decided to go an extra time before we left as well. Not to mention the restaurant was quite nice and inviting and the servers were wonderful.
As a somewhat important note, the free bread was unfortunately the worst bread I had ever received at a restaurant. Whole wheat, tasted frozen and reheated in a microwave or maybe left in a warm oven, and the butter was oddly sweet? The bread needs a complete rework as it did not bode well for the albeit wonderful meal we ended up having.

Just driving through town heading to work popped in for breakfast everything was perfect and fresh. Large portions and the price was right. Service was excellent as well will be back.

Service is great. Inside is nice. Do not get the New York steak. It’s so thin there was no way they could get it medium rare like I asked. The rest of my food was great though. The ranch that came with my salad was amazing. The bread and honey butter were great. Mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. That steak though was very bad.

One of the best restaurants we have within an hour of our home. We’ve even recommended it to others, who drive further than us to eat here. The food is always good, we’ve never eaten a bad meal here. You definitely you get what you pay for — great food, huge portions and friendly service. Go try it for yourself, you’ll thank me and won’t go home hungry!!
