This was our first time at Johnny’s, and we enjoyed it. We sat at the bar, which was fun. We each had a beer and we had dinner. I had chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese and mushrooms (a special) and my husband had a pepper jack cheeseburger burger with the lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion. We both had onion rings as our sides. My chicken sandwich was very good. The chicken was nicely cooked, with melted cheese and mushrooms. The onion rings were excellent, crunchy with the right amount of breading. My husband liked his burger. It had a lot of meat and was a good, solid burger. Service was great and we enjoyed the authentic, relaxed atmosphere. We’ll be back.

A Friends and I went out on the wet, rainy Valentine’s Day this year, 2/14/24.

We encountered the Owner who offered us fresh Chicken soup to take the chill out of the night air.

That was my first encountered @ Johnny’s. I enjoyed the evening immensely as I met some happy local folks. It was much better than I had expected.

Pretty cool place. The birthplace of the American Biker. It’s a biker bar with a ton of history. Its only an hour or so off the 5, stop in, Hollister is a nice little town. There’s a tattoo shop right next door so you could get yourself a tattoo while you’re there. Very glad I was able to drink some beers in here. Very awesome. Thanks guys. Oh and quit using brioche on cheeseburgers guys…

Depends on what decade your talking about. It’s definitely historic. In the late 70’s it was the place to get a cheap big fat steak sandwich and talk business on the low low. Pete Vona I think was the owner then. When Charisse and Tom got it the rally started soon after and that speaks for itself. If your a Clamper or a biker your good to go. There is a monumental erection in the yard corremorating Wino Willie from the booze fighters. Lots of events memory’s and injury’s like any bar. Foods good just gotta find the deals. Pete now has it going good. Of course prices are through the roof everywhere. Start a trend and sell beer door 2.50 again.
