Great Italian restaurant! A favorite of theater goers. I suggest reservations if you are going to a show. I have been there twice and very happy both times. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. Portions are LARGE. Saw a lot of take-home bags on several tables. The attached picture is of my ravioli, simmered in smoked gouda sauce with sun dried tomatoes! It was delicious. I had the chopped antipasto. It was yummy and enough for 2 people. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend.

Sue was amazing at the bar! Proctors night, literally rocking the most amazing drinks out! Absolutely loved seeing all of the staff rally together to support each other at a very busy time!! Will be back for sure!!

We arrived in Schenectady to see a show at the theater across the street. This was our first time to the area and naively did not realize that we should have made reservations. We decided to take two seats at the bar and were warmly welcomed by not only the serve but two regulars on either side of us. We couldn’t have been more attended to, even on this busy night. The bar staff never left us hanging. We ordered the Arancini as an appetizer. 8t was a large enough portion to share. We then were offered bread and oil. For dinner we had lasagna . Again, enough to share. The food was very good. We have zero complaints and we will definitely be back and be sure to make a reservation next time.

I am Italian and very picky about where I eat especially when it comes to Italian food I make my own sauce so I find others sauce to be flavorless when I go out but not Jonny’s !! From the start we had a reservation we were seated immediately. Great seating, great service and the food was absolutely amazing!! The meatballs had so much flavor and the size I couldn’t believe they pulled it off !! Absolutely beautiful place to bring your family or a date excellent experience will definitely be going back !!

Johnny’s is a really classy Italian restaurant. The food was delicious and the white stuff was very courteous. Nice ambience in the restaurant. We went there twice while staying in Schenectady. The first time I had veal Parmesan. The second time I had chicken masala. Both dishes were excellent.

Delicious at every turn! We’ve had wedding rehearsals, birthdays and work events at Johnny’s and they never disappoint. While a bit pricy, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Their seafood always tastes fresh, their eggplant is delicious, they offer great dessert options and they always have a good variety of cocktails. They get very busy, so come early, make a reservation or be prepared to wait.

Great atmosphere, staff, as well as their suggestions, & better food. Got here at opening time & had the restaurant to ourselves for the first 30 minutes. Was meant to eat elsewhere & was glad that I hadn’t. The Ravioli Montecasino & Arancini were showstoppers, everyone at the table tried & asked for a second bite.
