This place was like stepping back in time to your good old diner with an open kitchen and the menu on the wall in the plastic letters that stick into the coke a cola sign! The food was great, they are very smart to add in their drive through wo accommodation the over flow of people enjoying their food. Dining area is small but they use it well. Very efficient and seem to handle a lot very quickly and put out awesome food! Good old back in the day pricing also!

I ordered a chicken biscuit this morning. Got home and got a one chicken strip. If I wanted a chicken strip biscuit I would have asked for it. Plus took one bite and the biscuit fell apart. I’m thinking it was not cooked long enough.

I’ve been going to Johnny V’s ever since I was a kid. I always have been treated as family. There’s no other place in Macon Georgia that you can get a economical and delicious meal like Johnny V’s. I would recommend for anyone who hasn’t tried it to give it a try it will be worth your time and money and that’s something very hard to find these days.

Lively place which gives you access to EVERY server on every visit. They all care about you. Been going there for nearly 50 years. Run by second generation (son of founder.) the double cheeseburger has the right amount of flavor, juice, and taste for a diner. For breakfast, i get the link sausage to take me back down memory lane. If you somehow, you get overlooked, just speak up and they will take care of you. If you are a regular, you are greeted with a smile and a good morning. Many of the servers have been there 10 years or more. If you are looking for a pristine clean, MICHELIN experience, keep on driving, but if you want good diner food shared with people from every walk of life, grab a table or sit at the bar. Let them guide for your first visit, and make up your own mind about it.

Old school grill diner! I stopped in for lunch and I loved it! Simple breakfast and lunch menu. I ordered the “V Burger” and it was very good. Nice and juicy and piping hot like a old school burger should be. I got that, fries and a Coke for $5.74! Unbeatable! The employees were all very welcoming. I can’t wait to go back.

I woke up this morning craving Johnny V’s. I wanted to place a to-go order, but nobody answered the phone after I tried calling twice. When I got there, none of the staff welcomed us in and they never acknowledged that I had been standing there with my toddler for over 10 minutes. I was about to order 4-5 meals; I ended up leaving because I like to feel welcomed where I spend my money.
