Food was okay. It took over 40 min to get our meals even though the restaurant was pretty empty. However, the waitress was really nice and she was the highlight of our experience.
My wife and I split that for dinner and then again the next day for lunch.
It was absolutely delicious. The quality of food for the price point was out of this world. If you’re traveling through Bridgewater, do not pass this one up, you will regret it
The situation began with an Uber Eats order for a dish that is not listed on the app. I requested a modification, paid the same $36 price I always pay in-store, and left a note asking to be called if there were any issues.
The order was accepted before anyone contacted me. When the manager, Sara, later called, she stated there was no option to charge me the $36—even though I had already paid $36 through Uber Eats. I had also requested Parmesan and red pepper to be added directly to the dish (not on the side), and was told this would be an additional charge, which has never been the case.
During that same conversation, she stated that I could have ordered the Seafood Diablo, which is also priced at $36. This was confusing, as I had already paid $36 for the dish I ordered. If both dishes are priced the same, I do not understand why there was an issue with fulfilling the order as requested.
When I said “okay” and attempted to move forward, the response included laughing, which was dismissive and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, I specifically confirmed with Sara during that call that my note requesting bread and butter would be honored. I asked directly, “Will the order come with bread and butter?” and she responded, “Yes, absolutely—if you put it in the notes, you’ll get it.”
When I received my order, there was no bread or butter included. When I followed up, I was told, “I apologize, I put the note in, but they didn’t do it.” This situation perfectly reflects the larger issue—there is a lack of attention to what customers are actually saying and requesting.
What makes this especially frustrating is that the last three times I ordered this same dish in person, it was prepared incorrectly using a different type of pasta than what I requested. Each time, the staff acknowledged the mistake and apologized, and I chose not to ask for it to be corrected. Given that history, being met with resistance and repeated oversights when ordering online was disappointing.
I’ve supported this restaurant for years because I know what it’s capable of when run consistently, with attention to detail, and professionally. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so the service and experience can return to that standard.
During the call, Sarah said, “If it makes any difference, the bread and butter is not something you pay for.”
The comment about whether I paid for bread and butter completely missed the point and reinforced the lack of attention to what I was actually saying
UPDATE 1/2026
Most concerning, a close relative of mine went to the restaurant and was mistakenly identified as ME.They ordered large steak tips cooked medium-well. The portion was noticeably smaller than usual and the meat was burnt. They returned the steak tips and went to pay their bill. While they were paying, staff confronted them about a review that I had left, assuming they were me. My relative clearly explained that they did not write or leave any review and that the steak tips they received today were burnt.
Despite this, two staff members continued confronting them in the dining area, RAISING their voices and creating a scene in front of other customers. This conduct constitutes public harassment and false accusation and caused significant embarrassment and distress. No customer—or family member of a customer—should ever be confronted or humiliated in a public setting based on assumption or mistaken identity.
This situation was never about money. It was about customer service, professionalism, and respect. Based on the repeated issues, dismissive behavior, and now a public confrontation involving my family, I no longer feel comfortable supporting this establishment. Nor will I accept the owner’s invitation to come back. I feel sorry for my relatives I wish I were there.
