We went to Johnny Long hots while on vacation in Wildwood NJ, and had probably the best cheese steaks we’ve ever had! (And we are native to Philly!) We had both cheese steaks and chicken cheese steaks, the meat in both were finely chopped, very well seasoned, the Cooper Sharp cheese was mixed well throughout the meat, the meat met the end of the seeded roll, which was overstuffed with deliciousness! We chatted with the owners and they chef, as we had been in during the end of the night. We felt welcomed and they even gave our boys free fries!! (Which were also delicious!) It was hands down the best experience in Wildwood for cheese steaks! The prices seem higher than average, but theres nothing average about the size or portions you get!! One cheese steak easily feeds 2 adults! Dont pass this spot up, its a MUST on your next visit to the area!

Wanted to try unique and crazy food combo ideas. And they did not disappoint. We had the fat Johnny cheesesteak. It was delicious and very hefty ,good enough to share which i did with my daughter. We had a side of old bay fries which also was large quantity and delicious. And i love the fix it your way condiments bar which ive never seen in a pizza/sandwich spot. Good price for the quality and quantity of food.

This was honestly one of the best hoagies I’ve had in a long time. You can tell they actually care about what they’re making. The bread was really fresh and soft inside with a little chew and it didn’t fall apart halfway through. They didn’t skimp on anything either. The meat tasted high quality, the toppings were fresh and crisp, and everything just worked well together. Nothing was soggy or overwhelming. The kind of place you go back to when you’re really craving a good hoagie.

I just had to share! My husband and I stopped in to JLH in a Sunday afternoon for the first time. We had a few slices of pizza (soo fresh and awesome crust) We also had an awesome cheese stk with long hots. The bread was awesome. The stk was awesome and stuffed. The peppers were great! It was amazing! The menu was extensive! Most of all… the young man behind the counter, who was also our server was great! I can’t wait to go back.

I was in charge of food for a work party, and I was getting tacos in the plaza next door. A friend recommended I get the pizzas at Johnny Longhots, but insisted cheesesteaks were their true specialty. I’ll try the sandwiches next time, because the pies were OUT of this world. I got six pizzas, all different types. Absolutely delicious! And the man behind the counter was so friendly. I live 5 minutes away and simply cannot believe I’ve never been here. I’m ashamed, tbh!

We have ordered from this place since they opened. “Fresh, homemade chicken cutlets & homemade eggplant “. It was always good. Tonight, after not ordering for a while, I stopped in and ordered a chicken parm. It was aweful. Homemade? Nope, chicken was not homemade, not sure what it was and the price was outrageous. Never ordering from there again.

Ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pie on a Wednesday around 6:00 p.m.. I was one of only two customers in the restaurant. The pizza was absolutely horrible take a look at the photos it does not do justice to how bad the food was. The pizza was burned on the bottom in numerous areas incredibly oily just terrible taste all around this is my second attempt at pizza. The first time I got pizza it was just fair. I live in the apartment complex right next to the restaurant so I could have been a regular customer. They should be ashamed for letting something like this even walk out of the restaurant. I should have looked at the food before I left that mistake is on me.

Great place to grab a cheese steak, pizza, or sandwich. I had a really fresh turkey BLT hoagie. It was packed with fresh turkey lunchmeat, crispy bacon and American cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. My husband had a large cheese steak called a pickleback. It had fried pickles on it, and he got the petal sauce on the side. It was stuffed with meat and melty cheese, and the pickles were crispy and tasty. He was full after eating that large sandwich when he’s usually not at other sandwich shops. I like how they offer free hot peppers and pickles and the condiments counter. The decor is focused on Philly landmarks and popular celebrities from the area. The staff was helpful and attentive. We will definitely return to try more items off the menu.

This was my first experience at Johnny Longhots and unfortunately my experience wasn’t the best.
I will preface this review to say, the restaurant was clean, plenty of seating/parking and the staff were courteous and polite. Unfortunately, it was the cheesesteak that was a disappointment. 🙁
It was a long day at work, I didn’t eat anything all day and was craving a cheesesteak. I decided to give Johnny Longhots a try and ordered the “Johnny Longhot” Cheesesteak to go and got an order of fries (Tuesday Special = Free order of fries with any cheesesteak – which was a great value that I appreciated).
Have to admit, when I got home and pulled out the cheesesteak from the box, it looked really good, but unfortunately, the taste didnt live up to the visuals and ultimately why I am writing this review. Something was off – The Steak was pretty chewy and bland. Imagine my disappointment 🙁

Tried Johnny’s on a whim. Just in the area over night was hungry for a cheesesteak and these folks did not disappoint. The staff was so friendly. They gave us an over view of their menu and was so patient while we decided on what exactly we wanted to get. I had the Teriyaki Cheesesteak, my husband had the Fat Johnny and my son had a small pizza. My Teriyaki Cheesesteak was HUGE and so delicious! My son who’s the pickiest eater ever declared this was the best pizza EVER. My husband said his was huge, filling and great. Also before leaving we grabbed a cannoli and banana pudding. If we are back in the area again we’ll definitely be back!
