Johnny B. Good’s Diner is family owned and operated by the Diemer family since 1994. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts from our large menu of made-from-scratch recipes. Enjoy breakfast all day with a bottomless cup of coffee and the best thick-sliced bacon in Steamboat. JBG’s burgers are handmade from fresh ground beef and chargrilled to perfection which go well with one of our tasty milkshakes or local craft beers. We serve large portions of delicious, comfort food and provide a fun, nostalgic 50’s atmosphere to enjoy a family meal. Our entire menu can be taken for carry-out as well as our Family-style meals for pick-up made especially to feed large groups.

We stopped in for lunch while out and about exploring the shops in Steamboat. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They all seemed genuinely happy to be there and went above and beyond taking care of us. The food came out quick and everything we had was delicious. The decor was welcoming and interesting to look at while we sat and waited for our food. If we return to Steamboat, we will return to Johnny B’s!

The staff were really friendly and the entree was good! The slight disappointment was the dessert… If you want the pie heated, they seem to just microwave it which makes the crust mushy instead of flaky. So, don’t get it heated!

I used to come to Johnny B’s in the early 2000s when I attended Colorado Mountain College and had one of those grilled cheese sandwiches that are just perfect. I came back to Steamboat today (Feb 2024) and was SO ecstatic that everything is just how I remembered it. The food is still just as delicious and is so reasonably priced. I got the grilled cheese with a cup of chicken corn chowder and a mimosa. My friend got the adult root beer float and a Reuben and we got her daughter the children’s Mac n cheese. The total came to $51.00. Our waiter Rob was extremely kind and very on top of everything. He was very attentive to the kids and Madeira experience awesome. Definitely recommend this restaurant anytime you are in Steamboat.

Such a great experience. I ordered the Californian Benedict and hash browns. Everything was so yummy. The service and hospitality were supperior. It felt like I was at my hometown diner. YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR SIGNATURE SHOT! Can’t wait to come back next year.

We visited for a week and went here for Thanksgiving. They has a Thanksgiving special, however our group of 6 ordered off the standard menu. The staff was amazingly friendly, They were nice when I called ion to get the hours and find out if the regular menu would be offered. They were very pleasant when I dropped by to double check the hours, since I forgot to write them down the first time. And when we went to eat they were some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered; even when the place was packed wall to wall, with a line out the door.
The ambiance was perfect. The wall decor, the furnishings, and the menu, all screamed authentic diner.
The food was very reasonable and the adult milkshakes were to die for.
I had the Ruben for $16.99 and the veggie bowl for $15.99, my wife had the chicken sandwich, I think it was called the happy hen or something, for $14.99. My daughter had the Gyro for $15.99. Her boyfriend had the mile high meat lover omelet for $17.99. My mother had the open faced turkey for $17.99. And her boyfriend had the meatloaf dinner for $19.99.
The only complaint at the table was the vegetable included with the meatloaf was broccoli, and there was too much of it.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Steamboat, who wants good food at a fair price and unbeatable service,

Family time there on vacation. We had good service with a fella who served us. The food was not good as we had hoped. The Iowa Corn chowder was flavorless and blah. The hot dog was not outstanding, grilled cheese was very simple, fries tasted off and even the shake was okay, not like when I was a little girl….

We always have lunch at Johnny B’s during our yearly visit to Steamboat. The best hometown atmosphere and friendly service. Today was a pleasant surprise when we were greeted with the free meals for veterans sign. Such a generous family establishment! So Johnny B Good’s is an absolute must eat! I got the country fried steak and eggs, and my father got the Diner Combo. There is so much to love. The food was seasoned to perfection. The photo’s really don’t do it justice. The GM was a hoot, funny and just a good spirit. Bri was most excellent, gave the great reccomendations and very friendly. Will ABSOLUTELY return before we leave! Thank you for the great food and hospitality.
