I decided to try out this bakery as I was in the area for a dr appt. I grabbed a cremestick and two cut out cookies. The cremestick was pretty good but not as soft as I would prefer. I will say there was a ton of filling in it which was great. I enjoyed the cut out cookie more, it was really good. Heads up, you have to spend over $10 to use a card as payment in case you don’t carry much cash like me.

Impulsively stopped in for that maple creamstick that I have been wanting for some time. Low selection, most probably due to heavy traffic earlier in the day.
I was able to get two traditional creamsticks and Boston cream creamstick, a brownie and some iced sugar cookies.
Drove home – cut one each creamstick in half to enjoy. They were terrible. They ate like cream-filled bagels. More like doorsteps than donuts. The next stop was in the garbage can. Again, just terrible.

Their donuts are fantastic. Always fresh and delicious. I particularly love the cream sticks. The peanut butter cream stick will put you in a sugar coma. Anyone who has been in the Canton area for any amount of time knows how great this place is. You get the same great service and product from both locations.

My family loves Johnnie’s Bakery! We come once a month on Saturday mornings for donuts. It’s always a great selection. I have ordered cookies from here, and they were wonderful. Best donuts in the Akron Canton area. Just wish I didn’t live 30 minutes from them, but totally worth the drive! Since moving here from Indianapolis, we had struggled to find GOOD donuts at a GOOD price. You’d think there was a jubilee of options here in NE Ohio, but all I found were decent donuts at a high price at other places. Johnnie’s reminds me very much of Long’s Donuts in Indy; delicious donuts at an affordable price.
