A friend told me about this place, after trying out many breakfast places in East Hampton, I will always come back here.
Finally I found a place that I was served on the table. Reasonable price and very decent food with excellent service.

We had eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros. Both tasted like classic diner dishes- yummy comfort foods. The coffee was good and the refills were even better. Sitting at the counter was nice for a change but they also have very cute small booths. The staff was organized and kind.

The fluffiest and lightest waffles I’ve ever encountered. Definitely recommend even if it’s to split as a side!

Was here during a busy (and rainy) Sunday morning on Columbus Day. The staff was very helpful and did their hardest to get everyone seated in a timely manner without rushing any of the existing guests. The food was delicious and the prices are good esp for the area. Really good coffee!

Going to the Hamptons is always a great time. From the people, to the beaches, the nightlife and the food, it’s a must do on the bucket list. There are a few approaches to experiencing the the East End: over the top, or low key. John Papas Cafe in East Hampton falls beautifully into doing the Hamptons low key. Great staff, a bougie upscale diner atmosphere with really good comfort food and great portions. Had a waffle with strawberries and cream, blueberry pancakes, a side of corned beef hash and fresh squeezed orange juice. Whether your plan is hitting the consistent breaks of Ditch Plains, or just some casual window shopping on Main Street, this is a great way to start it off.

My girlfriend took me here as its been her favorite place to eat in all of town since she was a little kid.
Staff were super hardworking and polite, the food was really really tasty and well made, and the diner was very warm and home-ey.
Best diner I’ve been to and I love the food selection.

Homey and quaint no nonsense killer spot for a perfect breakfast. Breakfast served all day, which tells you everything. The pancakes were sensational, and one of the few places offering chorizo for omelettes or on the side.

John Papas Cafe is a fantastic spot that truly captures the essence of comfort food with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers a delightful variety of dishes, from classic American breakfasts to hearty lunches and dinners. The staff is friendly and attentive. The breakfast options are a must-try, especially the pancakes and omelets. The cozy decor and welcoming vibe make it a perfect place to relax, whether you’re dining solo, with family, or catching up with friends. Overall, John Papas Cafe is a gem worth visiting, and I can’t wait to go back!

We have breakfast there at least 3 times a week but, no more. The coffee is terrible and prices are climbing. When John was there he used a Greek coffee that was excellent. They swear they use the same coffee but maybe they dilute it. It’s horrible. Sorry to ay this because we love the staff.

The food here was so delicious def would recommend. However, the overall experience was not great. The service was super slow it probably took us an hour to get our food which was not ideal considering I thought it was a quick diner vibe place. I would return tho but hope this time the service is faster.
