We tried the cheese curd sampler; delicious! We weren’t sure what one was what flavor but it was all good! We split the open face pork sandwich with the beans on the side, coleslaw and fries. It was enough for 2. We had the Pit Master Salad it was a generous amount of delicious goodness! Great service, good music and friendly staff! We will visit again when we are driving through.

Amazing food! One of the only places in 100 miles that has sweet potato totes! Service was speedy and food was delicious too. Located on the frontage road off of 52, so quick to get to from the highway. I think they might be doing some renovations inside as well.

I was truly disappointed by the Barbeque served here. I had ribs and sliced beef with a baked potato and fried okra. The ribs were dry.. and the sliced beef was just sliced roast beef.. no smoke, no rub, no sauce.. and apparently “oven cooked” not barbequed or smoked.. it really tastes like it was sliced (thickly) from something like Boar’s Head from a grocery store deli counter… Very disappointing.
Fortunately, my wife had the pulled pork, which was somewhat better.
I can’t imagine they will stay in business much longer!.. The answer to being out of Barbequed beef is not “roast beef” with a side of sauce, it is “I’m sorry, we are out of Barbequed Beef, would you like … instead?”

Delivery by GrubHub. Food arrived when expected but was cold. Also, multiple dirty fingerprints on the food container bringing into question cleanliness of the restaurant and the employees hands.

Food was flavorless and dry! Chicken tasted like dish soap. Manager told us to get the “full experience” we should put the sauce on. I had a pork sandwich was like pork crumbles. Manager also only gave 50% off because if he gave more of a discount he would be fired. Terrible!!

First and foremost this review took me two days to decide on. This establishment claims that it’s true southern BBQ. They met their match with me as I am from Georgia and live very close to the #1 BBQ in the south since 1929 (Fresh Air BBQ). The meat most definitely is however the sauces (all of them) are not. Pulled pork has an incredible smoked flavor and is pulled to perfection. Brisket was tender and filled with good flavor. Ribs were firm with some type of dry rub on them. The rib meat with the dry rub was almost a sweet taste. Thick sliced garlic bread was great and a nice touch. Hand cut and thinly sliced potatoes are always great! Let’s get into the BBQ sauces. The south is best known for mostly vinegar based sauces the John Hardy sauces taste more like a watery ketchup from sweet to heat. I was highly disappointed in all of there sauces. The sauces killed them from getting four stars. Service was good and I can only

Excellent BBQ. Inside the restaurant is a bit loud, but that’s part of the charm. Highly recommend the JoJo potatoes and the baked beans. High chairs are available for families with little ones but the bathrooms lack changing tables, so be aware of that if you plan to bring an infant or toddler.

Great spot if you are in Rochester. Rib and brisket combo was really good. Sides were solid – beans and slaw. I should have gotten the namenof our server – she was fantastic.

My Family LOVES this place. I’m not huge, but that’s still a 7/8 love it. My husband’s family has been going here for years. Been at both locations and always great staff. ❤️
