Checked this place out on Wednesday burger night and it was pretty good. Parking was a bit challenging because they were busy but the food and service was outstanding. The drink prices are reasonable as well. I got the burger special which was the fried pickle burger and it was delicious. I will definitely be back!

I ate in the dining room. It was a nice quiet space where your can enjoy a quiet conversation. I liked that.
Service was friendly and at least initially was attentive. We got drinks and menus than she disappeared! For 20 minutes! Ugh. The good news was that the food came out quickly once the offset went in. I ordered the tavern burger without bread. It was tasty with nice crisp edges without ending up dry and well done inside. I really liked the fries which came out hot and stayed crisp without all that nasty coating you find in other places.
In all I was satisfied with my visit. Good, not outstanding. I will visit again. I guess that’s an endorsement, right?

Excellent food, superior service. Would highly recommend the marinated ranch steak, crabcake sandwich with sweet potato fries, bacon cheese fries, and Maryland crab soup. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. Our waitress, Tabitha, was stellar. We never once had to ask for a refill or anything else, she was one step ahead the entire time and had a great personality. Highly recommend for lunch, dinner or anything in between.

My boyfriend and I have made this one of our date night favorites! Tonight we had Jamie as our server. She was amazing. Very kind & attentive to us! We both ordered buffalo wings, a tavern pretzel, and fries. The food only took minutes to come out and was so yummy!! Keep being the go to spot 🙂

The food was professionally and artistically prepared with as good quality as cabr had with four star suppliers available in this area. It was served hot and well.plated.
Plating and tableware service was medium heavy.
Our room was nice, well suited to s group setting. Chairs and tables of medium style.
Our group wasxsans alcohol yet setting tells me the bar would be fullsom and appropriate to group.
As a “public house” the tables and chairs are not designed for deep comfort as a five-star restaurant? Yrt as top of the line as is possible while being affordable.

Absolutely hands down one of the best if not the best restaurants in Greencastle, PA!! AJ has done a superb job with taking over ownership not to mention keeping the fantastic chefs and I am sure adding new chefs too!
Drinks, alcoholic or nonalcoholic are superb as well! The atmosphere is amazing, great customer service staff, with the choice to eat casual in the bar or restaurant side of the bar or enhance your evening with date night to enjoy the more formal dining experience.
Plus BONUS, for all your event needs you can also book their banquet room for special occasions. We held our daughter’s graduation party here years ago!

Last night, we visited this restaurant for the second time, and were almost immediately sat in the more formal dining room, by a very kind hostess, which we preferred. For appetizers, we had the Tavern Pretzel and Asian Potstickers. Both were delicious, and came out in a very timely manner. I ordered a cup of the soup of the day, which was a broccoli cheddar soup. It was amazing – maybe the best broccoli cheddar soup I’ve ever had. For entrees, I had the garlic butter salmon with rice pilaf and asparagus (the vegetable of the day). My roommate had the double crabcake entree with a house salad and fries. My salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious, with a crispy side, as it was the first time I had it. The rice pilaf had less “juice”, which made it slightly less impressive, but it was still very good. The asparagus was so tiny that we described it as “asparagolini” (like broccolini), but it was still good, and I’m not complaining. The crab cakes had very little filler and were thoroughly enjoyed; my roommate ate the entire dish. His other side was fries, which were good, but not as good as the last time we had them. Either way, we’ll definitely be back. The food is always delicious and worth the price. The only reason I’m taking a star off for atmosphere is because some of the people who eat here have VERY loud voices, and that’s something you have to deal with throughout the entire service. Had a guy behind us talking about AI and bragging about his position at work the entire time, which was annoying and obnoxious. Not the restaurant’s fault, but worth mentioning, because that made it difficult for us to have a conversation without constantly having to say, “Huh?” “Say that again.”

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Everything from the crab dip to the caesar salad to the burgers are delicious, but the fresh cut fries are probably my favorite! My past few visits, I’ve had the sweetest and most attentive server, Kailey. All of the staff have been lovely, but she honestly makes the whole experience such a joy!
