Best chicken empanadas I’ve ever had! Fast service, they are also super friendly. This place has really good food and really good prices. I highly recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and trying Dominican food, you will not regret it!!

I ordered the fried chicken, but I think I got turkey instead because I’ve never seen a chicken leg that big. I also got the chicken empanadas, which were so juicy they may have well been soup dumplings.
Everything was fresh, flavorful and you could tell that the chef really cares about the quality of the product they serve.
I will be ordering again soon. After reading the reviews, I think I did myself a disservice by skipping the steak and red sauce.

I found this place by googling ethnic cuisines near me.
We placed our order online, the service was fast and friendly.
We ordered the steak with red sauce, black beans with rice and passion fruit drink ($38).
The meat was delicious, it was tender, juicy and flavorful. However the portion size was very small. More so an appetizer portion than an actual meal. We received a large portion of rice as our side,minimal red sauce to cover the rice that was really dry and not very flavorful. The passion fruit drink was tasty and refreshing.
We will try this establishment again since they are new to our area. I would recommend this place. But would also advise to order extra so you are full after eating.

Finally found an authentic Dominican meals! Everything here is cooked fresh, and the location is good. And the service was excellent. Word of advice is to come here early if you want a good selection; understandably, they have a daily limit of items on the menu. Other than that, this will be my go-to when it comes to Dominican food.

Had the pork in red sauce with rice and black beans. Very tasty and tender. My daughter had the chicken empandas it was huge and delicious, she loved the sauce. Definitely will be a regular stop for us.

I’ve had food from Joha’s a few times now. I’m always met with kindness and a warm hospitality. Food is amazing, pretty authentically Dominican, and portions are great for the price. My personal favorite is the pollo guisado. Joha’s has been and will continue to be a regular for me and my friends!

We ordered for the first time on Saturday and it was Awesome! We had the steak and red sauce, shrimp empanada and a chicken empanada. The sauce with the empanada’s was excellent, the steak melted in your mouth and you can’t beat the price.

I ordered the fried chicken with arroz con habechulas, pasteles chicken and chicken empanadas. The empanadas were delicious, and I unfortunately did not receive the pasteles chicken. The biggest reason for the low rating is that the fried chicken was raw in the inside and I was unable to safely eat this item. Everything smelled delicious I’m just disappointed that I could not try them.

If you like good food, you must try this. They have a permanent food truck at the very end of Telegraph Rd in Arnold (across from A&W). Everything I have tried so far is excellent. They even have mashed plantains. You can taste the love in her cooking.
