St first we had to wait a couple minutes but that was because of the party’s so don’t judge it by that. We got inside and it was really chill and it was peaceful. My mom and dad got the crab cake. I would rate it a 8.5 out of ten. I got grilled cheese and my brother got a burger he honestly liked it. The grilled cheese was great. Service was a little slow but still that’s because of the party. So that’s the most I can say about it. But I would say eat here

Such a nice place to have a midweek dinner. Service was stellar! They have the best French Onion Soup and I have tasted many within the area. Westminster to Gettysburg and they are by far the best.

We’ve really enjoyed Johansson’s! We usually go for lunch or early dinner and it’s never been overly crowded. Food and service are really good and the atmosphere is so fun! Industrial vibe. Wish they still had the calamari on the menu, so good! As with most restaurants, can be chilly so bring a sweater!

I was, quite frankly, very impressed with the dining experience.
My girl and I sat at the bar, expecting to order an appetizer and grab a drink. Before we knew it, we had been at the establishment for 4 hours.
The restaurant itself is very cool, in my opinion. Dark colors, warm lighting and rustic decor.
The food we ordered exceeded our expectations. We ordered a Birria Pizza (weird, I know) and the crab dip.
The birria pizza was my idea, and thank goodness that it paid off. It tasted like authentic birria, but in pizza form. I cant exactly explain it, but if you like birria, the meat was awesome and it really worked!
We also got the crab dip with a baguette. NOT much to day here, but it was amazing. It’s what youd expect when you order a crab dip, which doesnt happen all of the time. Lots of crab!
For drinks, we got the specialty cocktails. I ordered the Jack Frost, a mint/cinnamon martini. One of the best drinks that I have had.
Their czech lager is also fantastic. The bartender was super cool, friendly and attentive.
Overall, a great experience. It is definitely worth patronizing.

I gave four stars but only because the staff are really nice. The food was marginal at best. We went on a Sunday for the brunch buffet and at first glance it looked good..and at $30+ per person it should be good. But in reality almost everything was over cooked or dried out. We were there at 11:30am but it seemed that the food was out over sternos for hours. Really disappointing. The waitress/bartender was very attentive and nice and the bloody mary was really good.. won’t be back for the buffet.

Our first time here since we moved to this area back in January. We had heard mixed reviews, so we just went in with an open mind. We were very pleased with our dinner and the bartender was on point. My husband and I were thrilled to finally find a place that knows how to make a good, quality mixed drink along with serving a great meal. My husband had the French onion soup and surf and turf (steak and lobster). I had the filet with baked potato. Delicious!! Will definitely return as it is a great atmosphere and nice place for a date night with or without kids.

My wife and I are visiting Westminster MD for a long weekend getaway. We had dinner at Johansson’s – Monica was our server and gave excellent service.
My wife ordered the Painkiller cocktail and small Caesar salad for appetizer; she noted that the Painkiller was Grade A and no second was needed.
I ordered the Side Car cocktail, straight, and it was stiff! I had a second with my meal; compliments to the Bartender.
My wife ordered Old Bay Wings (8) and Sausage Pizza as an entree. She was very pleased with both and didn’t finish half (doggy bag).
I ordered Tai Wings with Bleu Cheese and a Loaded Toppings Pizza; I too was equally pleased with both! The wings are a large size and the Bleu Cheese was thick and tangy.
The pizzas are cooked in a brick oven and the charred crust was done well.
We also ordered Apple Pie and Chocolate Fudge Cake to go.
We definitely recommend Johansson’s for anyone visiting Westminster MD and they also have a decent bar area.

I had a horrible experience here. I had just turned 21 and wanted to sit at the bar to have a couple of drinks. I sat at the bar for about 13 minutes while there were only a few people there and was not acknowledged at all.
During that time, a couple walked in after me, sat at the bar, and were immediately greeted and served drinks while I was still waiting. I was with my boyfriend and we were already seated before them, so this was very noticeable and disappointing.
I tried to give the benefit of the doubt at first, but after being completely ignored, I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I ended up getting up and leaving without being served. Definitely not how I expected to celebrate turning 21.

Food was poor for the price. I had a petite filet, crab cake, baked potato and salad. Salad was adequate. Baked potato came out with frozen butter packets (with a semi warm potato that could not melt the butter) – not what I expect at this price point. My wife had shrimp scampi. It was fine….it’s noodles and shrimp. My mother, for Mother’s Day had the salmon. Like all mothers, she said it was good. I tasted it….not good.
Oh, and I still have more than half of an old fashioned that was anything but good.
Recommendation….go to Covalent for drinks and somewhere else for supper.

As someone in the service industry I truly enjoy having somewhere I can go and unwind after a long shift.
I’ve been coming in with friends on Tuesday nights recently and I can’t say enough about how fun and accommodating the bartender Will has been. Not only does he whip up delicious drinks, but he is engaging and just a joy to be around.
Johanssons in general has been a part of my life for many years and I truly enjoy every experience I’ve had there.
