To be completely honest, our food experience was underwhelming. We even had to have the California burger taken off because it tasted terrible.
The highlight for me was the appetizer cheese curds… those were actually phenomenal, and if I was driving past this place again, I’d want to stop in just for those.
Overall, half our party liked or thought the food was decent, and half wasn’t impressed. The one who ordered the Philly cheesesteak loved it. I thought the bacon cheeseburger pizza was pretty good, but I’d want to try the Buffalo chicken if I come back.
The atmosphere is fun and our waiter was nice and helpful. I would definitely try this place again, but not necessarily go out of my way to eat here. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a try.

This place was exactly what we were looking for! A small town bar with a chill atmosphere. We’d abandoned our previous plans that day to visit an apple orchard because it was too busy, and Johan’s bar was perfect. It was easy to find a table, and service came over to us right away. We had chili cheese fries, steak bites, and some beers. The food was delicious. As it happens, we came on a good day. Just outside, there was an Oktoberfest celebration – pro wrestling! We aren’t usually wrestling enjoyers, but we had a lot of fun.

Good food at a good price. Cheaper than fast food. Two meals for $20. The Scott West burger is shown (they do medium rare and done right) with more fries than I could eat for $12. Bloody Mary’s were good. Clean place with plenty of room and even had a heater on the ceiling that blew warm air on a few tables if you are cold. Walked in during subzero weather, ordered, ate, and car was still fully warm.

Advice to the staff..a smile goes a long way! Food was ok. Couldn’t finish my burger..patty was pink..but most people prefer it that way..forgot to ask for well done. Mmhh..might not be back.

Friendly service in a clean environment. GOOD burgers and several pizza take-out orders while I was here. Pay the $1 extra for the Chive Fries (wedges) and get a delicious white dipping sauce with them ir their regular crinkle fries are also good.

They got the food out to us really fast and it was so good. Highly recommend the onion rings and the pizza is very cheesy. Our server was also very attentive ! She saw we were guzzling thru our drinks and just brought us pitchers without having to ask. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.
