The salad was fresh and the chicken was tasty! I would’ve liked the cheese to be melted on the pulled pork sandwich. Any sides are ordered separately. Our food came out really quickly.

The menu is broken up in two places, over the register and to the left of the register on the wall. It was a bit difficult to see all of the options when you first walked in. They don’t serve brisket – that was the bbq related item I wanted but didn’t see.

We were the only customers there at 5pm on a Monday. The inside is very quiet, no music. Very casual, backyard patio/picnic table vibes.

For the convenience, price and taste, I’d definitely come back again and recommend it 🙂

I was only in town for a couple days. I discovered this place the night before I left. I asked for his recommendation, and he suggested the BBQ burger. It was fantastic. The sweet potato fries were amazing and a giant portion. It was so good I stopped on my way out of town for lunch and got a half slab of root beer ribs. It came with Cole slaw and cornbread and I ate it all the way to New York and beyond. It was so very good I didn’t even open the BBQ sauce

I wanted something stupid to eat – something with a ton of flavour and a ton of calories. Enter Joff’s, and the hot dog known as The Aporkalypse Cow.

I went to Joff’s some ten or more years back and tried their burger. I was not impressed and was indifferent about the idea of ever going back. However, I always remembered one thing I saw on their menu that I have been curious about for the greater portion of a decade – The Aporkalypse Cow: an all beef hot dog topped with pulled pork, coleslaw, and cheese, all on a fresh bun.

I finally decided that it was time to indulge in excess and try “that hot dog I saw on the menu”, and I was not disappointed.

Joff’s is in a small – blink and you’ll miss it – plaza, and when you walk in, it truly feels like walking into an indoor backyard. Picnic table, plastic lawn chairs, utensils and condiments in metal buckets – it has a homey, backyard BBQ vibe.

I placed my order, Aporkalypse Cow and Onion Rings, and took a seat, noting that the ceiling vents needed cleaning. It is a stupid little detail, but my mind was wandering. Next, I noticed something I loved: silence. The only sounds were the staff working in the kitchen and the customers coming and going. One of the things I’ve noticed is that I care little and less for music in restaurants, especially loud music.

Food arrived in a timely manner, and I worried that I made a wrong decision. The hot dog, advertised as a foot long, was massive. I did not need onion rings. The hot dog would be enough. C’est la vie.

It smelled great, and it tasted better. An overall smokey, spicy, sweet, fresh flavour made this excessive meal an absolute pleasure.

The onion rings were well prepared, though at the price point, I would have liked an onion ring sauce (that horseradish mayo stuff you get at Chili’s or similar). Still, a little mayo and ketchup and things go well enough.

When all was said and done, I was full, but not uncomfortably so. It all sat perfectly well in my digestive system and I left in a cheerful state.

One thing I can say is that they do seem to still lack the ventilation I’d expect them to have in the kitchen, which causes the place to get a bit smokey as their business ramps up. While for some it might elicit memories of grilling in the backyard, it reminds me of when our apartment house burned down, so I had to remind myself that the staff are professionals and this is what it is supposed to be like.

So, food is great, service is good, decor and ambient noise is perfect, but the smokiness can certainly be distracting.

A family owned business with delicious flavors, very friendly staff, and an incredibly hardworking owner who deserves to kick up his feet every now and then! Working 7 days a week!!

Could not recommend this place more. Honorable mentions: Crispy chicken Caesar wrap, sweet potato fries, and corn bread. Trust me!!

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered chili, a cheeseburger, and poutine. The burger was good but overcooked and a bit dry. The poutine was very good, lots of flavor and great fries to boot. The chili was outstanding, thick, tasty, and filling. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.4.

By far the best wings I have had around here I got the barbecue bone in. The service was great, but again the Wings were unbelievable, and I will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu!

Came here randomly after visiting a friend. I was not sure what to expect but ended up being pleasantly surprised. My son and I ended up getting a burger and a burrito. Both were very tasty. We also got fries and while they were tasty they were also salty.

Only giving 1 star because according to the website & sign on the establishment, the place closes at “8:30”. It was 7:50 we walked in (door was unlocked) and the guy said they were closed. Guy had a friend waiting inside for him with their vehicle running to get out asap (Im assuming) and mustve wanted to get out early. I live over an hour away and stop by every chance I can because it was 1 of my favorite places when I lived in the area.
