The food was great the older lady who was serving did not provide much help as on one occassion we got the all you can eat and she literally took our plates away as we were deciding to finish the plate or not. The other occasion she laughed at us as we were trying to get our kids settled in from a rough day and didn’t listen to our orders. She seemed to not care how she treated us.

As a British person, Fish and chips are in my blood and I was skeptical about trying Fish and chips from a different country, HOWEVER I am currently on a long term stay in Red Deer, Canada and have had the pleasure of having Joeys Fish and Chips 3 times now and WOW!! It knocks all British fish and chip shops out the way, Joeys is simply the best, it’s not greasy, nor fatty, the batter is light, crispy and perfect. There is just the right amount of skin left on the fries. I cannot rave highly enough about the quality of their food!! THANK YOU!!

Walked over from hotel. Had fish and shrimp. Started with Lobster bisque soap. Went with the bigger size. Was so tasty and the fish was very good. Hot and slight crusty. Fries hot and right out of frier Service was very good even though I made it just before closing. Restaurant was clean and the waitress was busy trying to clean and get ready to close. But she was friendly and through. Brought food over right away.

A bit Over priced for what you get but the service is excellent and they have a great staff super nice people. And the food is cooked fresh. Only had one bad piece of ever from there. And I’ve been eating there for years. Highly recommend the place.

The place was very clean. When we walked in we were greeted right away. We ordered quickly and food came hot and fast. Tasted delicious. We had the fish tacos, 2 piece Joey’s fish and chicken sandwich and all were great. The waiter was very attentive to us and cleaned up our plates quickly. Would come back here again. When we were leaving the man was outside cleaning the glass to make it nice and clean. You can tell he takes pride in the restaurant.

I haven’t been to this Joeys in a few years due to the horrible state of the restaurant, staff, and food the last time I was here, but going to Joeys has always been a family tradition when I grew up.
I wanted to continue that with my children, so I gave it another try expecting to be disappointed and I see that there have been renovations and new staff etc, not sure if there’s a new owner but needless to say this has been one of the best experiences going to a Joeys in a long time.
Food was ridiculously fast, service was amazing, so friendly and respectful, the restaurant was clean, I will definitely be coming back.

Stopped in tonight for an order to go. Time was 8:30 and they close at 9 but as I was walking through the door their staff were getting their coats on and told me they’re closed. Why closed when the sign on the door says 9? I won’t be back. You lost my business as well as that of my whole family that I was buying for.

Beware of the “Market Price” We ordered halibut and didn’t ask It was $36.00 However the food was hot & delicious, service was superb and the restaurant and washrooms are super clean.

The food servings/portions were disappointing to say the least! The fish was greasy and the fries portions were really small, the clam chowder soup seemed like it came from a can. The shrimp looked and tasted like it was cooked dirty oil and was greasy. The place was clean and waitress was good but the food lacked quality.
For the price you pay, I expected bigger portions and better quality.
