Joey’s BBQ in Chino has a very Texas-BBQ feel to it with the outdoor seating in the patio, and the indoor decor inside the restaurant. We went a little later in the evening on a Saturday, and might have gotten the slim pickings for what was left at the end of a long day of BBQ, so I might try to go a little earlier in the day next time.
I ordered “The Works” ($55.25), which came with ham, beef, chicken, beef rib, pork ribs, and country sausage link. It was basically a sampler platter – and I figured this was the best way to try all of their meats. The best items on that platter were the chicken and surprisingly, the ham. We thought both the beef rib and the pork ribs were dry, and same thing with the sausage link. The 2 side dishes we got with “The Works” were the mac & cheese, BBQ beans, and a 4 piece side of cornbread for an extra $6.90. We enjoyed the cornbread the best out of these 3 side dishes, and will likely try to order other 2 new side dishes next time we visit. We weren’t big fans of either the mac & cheese nor the beans.
The real star of the show for us though was the Peach Cobbler dessert that we ordered at the end ($9.75). I would come back just for that cobbler with the ice cream on top.
I really enjoyed the ambience, service, and the music. I just wish that food wasn’t as tough. Like I said, we will probably go try to visit earlier in the day next time and hope for a better experience.

Great service! We got seated quick and they took our drink and food order quick. We got our order less than 15 minutes.Ordered “The Works” which was perfect for two and came with 1 beef rib, St Louis Ribs,1thick slice of honey ham, slice of tri tip, 1 slice of brisket, grilled chicken. We got Mac and cheese and baked beans as our sides. Ordered cornbread as an appetizer, and it came with honey butter. We got complimentary garlic bread to start. The cornbread came out hot and delicious, fresh out of the oven. The meat was not hot but flavorful, it was a little cold Mac n cheese came out hot fresh out the oven. I ordered a strawberry margarita on the rocks which was GREAT!! Ambience is nice they have a nice outside patio with seating and tables.

This place is worth it! Always good food. The rib eye is perfect every time. Tried the Beef ribs this time around and they did not disappoint. A very traditional looking place. Service was great.

Good BBQ. But would say there is other BBQ spots that standout more. Service was great and drinks were awesome. Great Atmosphere as well. Always support local. Grabbed some eggs after a good lunch as Billy’s Egg Farm was practically next door!

The food was good, exceedingly well presented and very flavorful. This isn’t even close to Texas barbecue, but everything seemed high quality, and it tasted really good. Pictured, there are the burnt ends on a bed of fries, others in my party got nachos and chili.
Everything tasted good, nothing felt rushed and the staff was attentive, helpful and nice.
Be warned it is not cheap, but it is good.

I’ve come here for years. It’s good. The chicken is my favorite. Beef ribs can be hit or miss sometimes. Brisket is good. Don’t order the chicken sandwich, it’s very boring nothing much going on with it. I thought they would add lettuce tomato and cheese and it’s literally just chicken breast , bbq sauce inside of a French bread roll. Pretty bland. Next time I’ll just avoid the sand which and get the chicken by itself.

Delicious BBQ with a nice smokey flavor. Meal was large enough to take some home for a snack later. Chicken was cooked well and brisket was tender. Would definitely like to try more food here.

I got the el Diablo sandwich at the suggestion of the waiter instead of the brisket sandwich. I should have gone with my instinct. The sandwich was suppose to have pulled pork, which was nice and tender. But I couldn’t taste any smoke on it at all. It came with a boatload of jalapenos, which was honestly too spicy and I like normal spice. It also said it had pickles on at.But I just got a spear on the side, because I guess that’s all they had. I’m from Texas. I expect satisfactory texas barbecue. This was not it. We get better barbecue at a gas station. In Texas. I was very disappointed. The waiter asked me how my food was.And I said, eh, so so so. He just kept on going like that was satisfactory, which it completely was not. Then, after eating almost none of my meal. He asked me if I wanted to go box. I said no, the food was pretty bad. He ignored that and brought me the check. That’s why you get a two dollar tip on an over priced twenty five dollar sandwich. It’s too bad they don’t care, because it could be such a good place.

Extremely disappointed. Joey BBQ in Chino is way overpriced compared to other BBQ places, and the quality does NOT justify the cost at all. The sausage was honestly gross bad texture, bad taste, just unpleasant.
To make it worse, we got stomach sick later that night, which is unacceptable and concerning. BBQ should be comforting, not something that makes you feel ill.
This was a terrible experience overall. I will definitely not go back and do not recommend this place to anyone. There are much better BBQ options out there for less money and far better quality. ($ 71.00 for 2 brisket sandwiches + 1 sausage + 1 glass limonade + 1 glass rootbeer)
