I had ordered a eggplant parm sub. I was hungry and ate half of it even though it was really not up to par. It was tough and rubbery. When the server asked how everything was I was polite and honest about it. With no hesitation she asked me if I wanted a different sandwich in place of it. I indicated that would be very much appreciated. So I said that I would try the steak sub instead expecting a half of a sub. Instead I got the full sub. Very happy with the way they handled a polite customer complaint. I will definitely go back because of their service attitude.

Best pizza in the Ocean Isle, Shallotte, Sunset Beach area.
This is *not* fast food, conveyor belt pizza.
If you want hand-tossed, made-to-order, authentic New York style pizza, then this place is for you. Watch Joe and his team prepare your meal behind the glass while you wait, and enjoy some piping hot garlic knots while you wait.
Generous portions. High-quality ingredients. Calzones are stuffed with gooey cheese and zesty Italian meats, and they’re big enough to feed a whole family! Savory subs (served hot or cold) are filling and delicious , as well. Salads are fresh, crisp, and nicely complement the heavier foods. Several good beers on tap, including Yuengling lager and a nice IPA.
Atmosphere is typical pizza parlor with multiple TVs broadcasting sports. ⚾
My family has been eating here for 10-yrs, and we’ve had a good experience every time. Even when the place is packed, service has been timely, friendly, attentive, and personable.

Nice little spot. I tried the pizza and it was good. Not necessarily the best I’ve ever had but it’s decent. Service was so so. Lady was kinda rude. I’d give this place another shot for sure. Solid menu options.

Been here a few times now and it’s consistently a huge let down. Not only is the pizza tasteless every time, but they’ve got robot waiters now? That’s dehumanizing for the customers and the staff. I bet the owner complains about nobody wanting to work anymore and doesn’t pay their staff a fair wage.
Also every time I order online, I show up when their website says the pizza should be done, and they’re just putting the pizza in the oven when I get there. Waste my money and my time? No thanks. Owner should host a masterclass on how to give the worst service possible.

I received a cold pizza. The black olives and mushrooms had not been cooked. They were put on top of the pizza cold as if they were an afterthought. The box smelled like cigarette smoke. I could not eat it. This was my first try and will certainly be my last.

Good food, terrible service. It was nearly 2 hours for delivery, despite 45 minute estimate. And I got cheated out of my 2 liter of Pepsi. Driver offered to go get it, but why screw everyone else tonight. They owe me a 2 liter! Delivery driver went above and beyond and brought out my 2 liter of soda. 5 stars for the delivery driver!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was our second time here, and the only good thing I can say about it is, at least we got our food this time. Same slow service, and the food tasted like a dirty oven, even the fries. Not to mention the fries were burnt. This was our last time at Joey O’s..

Excellent pepperoni pizza. My favorite one from here has been pepperoni, sausage, black olives, and onion. Highly recommend that combo. Great with the excellent sauce they have.
