Joe’s Yummy bowl is located where the old BD’s Mongolian restaurant was on miller rd in flint Mi. Walking through the front door is like walking into a little part of China. The atmosphere is warm and welcome, the staff is super friendly. We have been here a few times but today was one of the most amazing experiences we have had so far. We were greeted quick, sat fast and our server was a wonderful young lady named Kyla. Kyla was extremely attentive with a beautiful smile on her face every time she came by to make sure our dining experience was satisfactory. Joe’s yummy bowl is a great place with amazing food and a wonderful staff, I highly recommend anyone wanting to a warm, inviting and pleasant dining experience to give Joe’s yummy bowl a try. If youre ever out in saginaw michigan, you should try their sister location Chen’s Mongolian restaurant (same owner).

Great location in the business district. Robert was the best waiter I ever had, give him a promotion! The owners, Andy and Joe were very passionate and eager to provide a great customer experience. Clean, beautiful, brand new restaurant. $20 bowl option with $4 more you get unlimited including a ton of extras (drinks, desserts, etc). Best price in the city for all you get. The food is incredibly fresh and cooks in just minutes. You can build your own rice bowl with tons of options—every veggie you can imagine, about ten sauces, pork, chicken, beef, crab, shrimp, and a full lineup of seasonings. They even have a robot that delivers some of the items to your table, which is pretty fun.
There’s also an all-you-can-eat dessert bar (dessert only, not the bowls) with ice cream sandwiches, tiramisu, chocolate mousse cake, cookies, and drinks like Yoo-hoo, Hi-C, SunnyD, water, and Kool-Aid.
You can order made-to-order sushi rolls, and everything we tried was delicious. The service was great, and the atmosphere was perfect. We arrived around 11:30, which was ideal—there was a big rush right after us. There’s plenty of seating, but it fills up quickly. Parking is shared with Leo’s in the same plaza, so it can get a little busy.
We’ll definitely be back, especially now that I know how full to make my bowl so I end up with a nice hearty plate once it’s cooked down. Lunch for two (two bowls, two drinks, and one sushi roll) was $50 with tip.

Joe’s YUMMY Bowl is a huge upgrade from the old BD’s Mongolian Grill. The space is cleaner, brighter, and much more organized, with better-quality ingredients and plenty of room to build your bowl high. A great touch is the trays provided to catch anything that spills over—small detail, big difference. The make-your-own bowl option paired with all-you-can-eat desserts (including tea and bite-sized sweets) really sets this place apart. Overall, it keeps everything people loved about BD’s while improving the experience across the board.

Been there a few times now, I’ve had a good experience every time. Food was fresh. Service was okay. Back of house does a really good job with keeping food stocked and presentable. Sushi is the best around. I will be back.
