What a fantastic, fun, and welcoming little joint. Outstanding staff and safe environment. First visit was for a drag show, all safety standards were in place. The show was awesome. Everyone was friendly. Good sound system, clean floors and tables. Fun and creative decor. when in Augusta, be sure and check out Joe’s Underground Cafe

Walked in about 6:15 had a seat waited about 10 minutes with no service the bartender just stood at the bar like a bump on a log. I finally asked if the kitchen was open and his reply was as soon as the cook comes back. We’ve been going there for for some time before going the the Imperial theater for the show. I guess we’ll have to find another place to eat. NO SERVICE JOE’S!

The food was good!!! It took a loooong time to get it! I would give the food 5 stars!!!! The lemon drops were trash!!! It tasted like water with lemon juice. (The older guy made them)…. Lastly when I went back to check my card statements we were charged $27 for 2 lemon drops that tasted like water and then on a separate ticket for food we were charged and another $24 for a burger and basket of fries. The vibe was ok! We line danced. I would suggest paying with CASH! So there are no surprises!
