This was our first time visiting, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.
While the staff appeared friendly and provided decent customer service, it seemed they were overwhelmed—likely due to the volume of online orders. When we arrived, only one customer was ahead of us, yet we waited 46 minutes for our food. They received theirs around the 40-minute mark.
We placed our order at 7:10 PM and didn’t receive our food until 7:56 PM. For six food items and three drinks, the total was approximately $56.
Here’s a breakdown of what we ordered:
• Fries (2 orders) – The only item we enjoyed. A bit salty, but otherwise good. (7/10)
• Hot Dog – Lacked grill marks, was slightly cold, and had a slice of cheese melted over it. (1/10)
• Pizza Rolls – Very dry and lacked flavor. (1/10)
• Cheesesteak – Small portion, dry and chewy meat, with a slice of cheese on top. Disappointing for the price. (2/10)
• Double Bacon Cheeseburger – Thin, dry patties. Bacon and pickles were the only redeeming parts. (2/10)
• Sodas – Ordered Pepsi, but it tasted flat and overly syrupy—definitely not Pepsi.
To be fair, it was 89 degrees outside, so that may have contributed to the situation. That said, the food quality and wait time didn’t justify the cost, and we won’t be returning.

They have so much more than ice cream! Seems like they are known for their French fries and fried Pickles (spears). They were both incredible. The creamees were good, just a limited selection of flavors.

This visit was a return to my childhood. Order through the screen, wait out by the yellow bug lights, meet your friends when they drive up in theirrusty jacked up cars and have a meal. I had the fries and fried clams. Yep, the clams were frozen but just as good or better than the Hojo’s of old. I topped of my meal with a creamie and hoit the road back to Essex. To feel the days of my youth again – what a blast. Stop on by and join the club!

Fantastic place with better quantity and quality of foods offered than similar establishments. Quick and fast service. There are pint size options for scallops and larger options for claim strips. No indoor seating. Limited outdoor seating. Food is delicious.

Love their homemade twice cooked fries! Minute steak with cheese is awesome. I’d stop to the store next door to get your drinks though. The prices on fountain soda are crazy! Extensive menu! Something for everybody! On a real busy corner with traffic, watch the kiddos.

Glad my Grandfather isn’t around to see how this place turned out. He used to LOVE coming here.
Food was less than mediocre and the service lack luster to start. Deciding factor to NEVER come back was when the owner felt the need to come ask me if there was a reason I wanted the Michigan sauce on the side. She clearly didn’t like my response of “yeah, so the bun isn’t so soggy when I eat it”. Her response “Whatever, it just makes it harder”.
Makes it harder to get good ratings and return business when you’re nasty to your customers. So I guess she wasn’t completely wrong.

Decent snack bar, nothing extraordinary. It is a local staple in a nice location. Outdoor picnic tables only for seating.
