Great food and great service! We stopped by before meeting a friend and sat in for dinner. Ordered the red snapper, calamari, and 2 piece catfish. Sooo good and generous portions. A must have while you’re in Galveston.

So I’m standing there making an order and the cashier starts taking another man’s order while I was right there!!! Of course he was colored sad to say. I spoke up for us and explained how important it is to value customers, & not to be rude. Especially to your biggest spenders(coloreds!!). I explained how we are the biggest spenders, & still get treated like we do not matter. She smirked & apologized. I walked away. As I got in my car I witness her & a man of color joke like it was no big deal what had happened which proved my point. It’s sad. I’ll never go there again. Nor support them in any way form. Disrespectful is an under statement! It’s our own that promote disrespect, but also the cooperation from the Asian hustle in our community. If you lost black women dollars you wouldn’t have a pot to cook in!

I have stopped here a few times to grab food to go on the way back to Houston and not only is the seafood amazing and incredibly priced, I also found a little miracle here behind the restaurant digging in the trash. I named him One Eye Joe and he is now in good care and under vet supervision so thankful I decided to stop here to get food again!

This kind of place is the reason self driving cars will be the norm. How are you supposed to drive 15 minutes away knowing your food is hot crisp and within arms reach. Insurance companies would rejoice at not having to worry about their clients driving with their knees dunking shrimp and oysters into tartar and cocktail sauces. Traffic accidents are nothing to make light of so I can’t say I approve of such lack of personal and public safety. I encourage all of you who visit this place to make time and eat your food here. We all want to make it home alive and well.

I love mom and pop take outs because they always have the best food. Modest setting in
but amazing service. Gentleman was kind and efficient. Great locally owned spot

I had the popcorn shrimp with 2 piece of fish it came with fries.$25 (in 8.2024) It was too much food , I saved some for lunch the next day. I called it in and it was ready when I arrived. The cashier was nice and very polite. The fish was thin but flavorful and the popcorn shrimp was bigger and more plentiful than expected.. overall good food, just a little high priced but worth it.

I got some fried gizzards. Batter was amazing however the gizzards were not tender. That would have made them 10/10. I ended up just eating the batter off them. I grew up eating fried gizzards and I know they need to be tenderized before fried. I love everything else tho I have had wings, rice gravy, pepper steak, the chicken sandwich. Mostly everything is good

I’ve loved this place since, I was a kid. It’s family owned so, it does not have that commercial restaurant feel. I have yet to have a bad experience at this place. I wish they would add to the menu Walnut Shrimp but, they have sweet and sour (I do see they are highly considerate of people with allergies to nuts). It has had some changes over the years but, food wise everything I have gotten is fresh. It’s not a place to do elegant dinning but, it’s not fast food in the assembly line made sense. I think it’s also family owned but, I could be incorrect. I think it’s far better than Panda Express (no offense).

Really good fried food, including shrimp. Good prices too. I recommend it for takeout orders. Stars deducted due to lack of ambience… I am pretty sure this used to be a gas station.

This place here is amazing. They always say “don’t judge a book by its cover”! Well that’s absolutely true. The food here is the best and you won’t be disappointed in the amount you receive. The seafood is hot and fresh. The fried rice is to die for and the rice and gravy is um um good. Prices aren’t all that bad for what you get. I’m from the New Orleans area and the food reminds me of back home. Seasoning is just right. It’s so good that during my stay here I’ve ate there three nights in a row. You can get seafood or Chinese and there’s so much more to choose from. Trust me you got to try this place. Oh and the picture I included I’d already been digging in before I took it so you know it was plentiful
