I recently ate at Joe’s hoping it would be a 5 star experience. It was close, but they fell short a bit.
I ordered their stuffed burger, stuffed with cheese curds and jalapenos. Though the flavors were good, I could never pick out the cheese curds and I only registered jalapenos in maybe 2-3 bites. A little underwhelmed in that regard, but as a burger in general, it was very tasty.
The service and atmosphere were great. If I didn’t suspect this was a one-off restaurant, I wouldn’t be able to tell. It feels very much like a new-age Wingers (not the older diner style, but the newer bar style). The atmosphere and print materials are all very professionally well done.
The lost star is due to my “burger.” Though it was delicious, I only made it about 3 bites in before the seemingly home-baked bun disintegrated under the juice of the burger. They added all the sauces to the bottom of the burger, and the bun wasn’t able to hold together. After those 3 bites, I ended up having to eat the rest with a knife and fork; the first time I’ve ever had to do that. It kind of ruined the “burger” experience and didn’t taste as good at that point.

Welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, generous portions of good quality food! We have dined there 4 times now. I know good steak– and they have high quality cuts and they cook it right. Salads are visually appealing and obviously fresh. Real butter is used! Alfredo sauces are fresh and use real cheese! I learned the owner is local and he personally manages this business — and it really shows.

I was quickly greeted into a comfortable atmosphere. This place has a vibe that says it shouldn’t be this slow. Along with my drink the waitress brought a roll with a sauce that I couldn’t identify as Alfredo at first look, however upon taste I was stunned. The roll tasted fresh but this Alfredo sauce was astounding (I love Alfredo, and this drove my taste buds wild). I chose to try the stuffed burger, and my waitress convinced me to try the onion rings with it. A wonderful choice, as they were deep fried to perfection with an amazing batter, and the fry sauce is an excellent compliment. The burger is certainly the peak of this meal. An almost overwhelming half pound patty stuffed with cheese curds and jalapeños topped with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and spicy mayo on a lightly toasted ciabatta bread. A beautiful choice for a fantastic burger. I opted to add mushrooms to the combination of flavors. The flavors from the burger are wonderful, and the spicy Mayo has my taste buds dancing (I want this mayo with some sushi). My waitress was not the owners daughter that was highly reviewed by someone else, however Jess certainly has a passion for exceptional customer service. In closing this is the best food I’ve ever eaten in Blackfoot, and certainly among the best food I”ve had in this part of Idaho. I look forward to returning and reviewing more of the food Joe serves.

We ate at Joe’s twice this weekend because it was so delicious we couldn’t help outselves. The first time I had the Pappardelle Alfredo with veggies (I also added the grilled chicken). It was to die for! The sauce was so delicious and creamy, the veggies were a perfect addition. The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The garlic bread was yummy as well. I seriously could eat this meal every night. We also had the tour of apps. Everything on the platter from the fried zucchini, to the wings, to the onion rings were so delicious. The next day I had my husband get me a club crossaint for lunch. It was the best. The sauce on the sandwich complimented everything so well. The fries on the side were fresh, crisp and tasty. I cannot get enough. We will be back! It is great to have a fresh food local restaurant right here in Blackfoot.

The owner Joe is super great! Its a fun family place. It offers delicious food. My BBQ pork was good and the onion rings delicious. The milkshakes were very flavorful.

Great food at great prices, with friendly service and a fun owner who learns regulars’ names. Everything, every sauce, dressing, even the pasta, is made from scratch in-house! Without a doubt, the best casual dining in Blackfoot.

The customer service here really stands out from all the other restaurants in blackfoot. The steaks are the reason this is our favorite place to eat! The hamburgers definitely help as well.
