Joe’s pizzeria, I love you guys man! Joe’s is hands down, Northside Chicagoland suburb legendary they’ve been around forever! My wife and I love Joe’s. This is our favorite Tavern/thin crust in the NorthShore suburb area. we’ve been coming here for at least six years now and we’ve never had a bad experience. very consistent from pizza to service amazing as always got the largest size thin crust cheese pizza always comes out piping hot, cooked to perfection every single time cheese perfect amount the sauce amazing acidic flavorful just the way I like there dough is paper thin with amazing flavor and texture, crisp every piece to the end. Their service is always amazing. The guys at the front that worked the window are awesome. For all you sausage fans Joe’s makes in house sausage and it taste amazing Chicago style seasoned sausage, phenomenal highly recommend, pairs so good with Giardiniera. The servers are always happy to serve you and amazing.
Joe’s is pretty small restaurant with a couple tables and chairs. They do have parking lot and a beautiful marquee Joe’s pizza sign outside which I think is awesome. Gives it that old school look. 100% Recommend!

If you’re looking for great tavern style pizza in the northern suburbs, this is it.If you’re looking for a dining experience, forget it. Think bare bones hot dog stand. There are only 6 or 8 tables/booths. Paper plates and red solo cups, BUT the tavern style pizza is truly excellent, without having to drive to the southside of Chicago.

First time trying this pizza and it has EXCELLENT thin crust pizza!
The sauce has a nice balance of sweetness and saltiness. The pepperoni and sausage had a nice punch of flavor that I really enjoyed and made me realize how bland other sausage and pepperoni I have on other pizza.
The crust, for me, hit the sweet spot of being a bit of a wafer and doughy. It has a nice balanced texture and taste.
The cheese compliments the sauce, meats, and crust as being the main component. Other pizza places with thin crust will have thick amounts of cheese that bland out the other ingredients and this pizza gives it the right amount of cheese.
Definitely worth trying this pizza!

I have never stepped foot into this establishment, but I have lived in this dump of a town for a long time. This Pizza has gotten me through some stuff man. This pizza means something to me man. The way the crust gets on the outside with just the sauce, it’s such a perfect sweet bite. The perfectly salty combination of their cheese and sauce is truly divine. I have had many kinds of thin crust but Joe’s Pizza in Wheeling Illinois off Wolf Rd really does it different, not because it’s unique, but because they do it RIGHT.

Definitely the best Chicago style thin crust within a 40 mile radius!! I have a select few in Lake county. Within a few bites this place took over everything and I’m dying to make another trip!
I’m a pizza fanatic and your pizza had me in astonishment. The sauce has major (fresh tomato) flavor, The dough takes the cake for anything a pizza restaurant would want and hope to achieve. I am in love.
To make it better they actually came out and greeted every customer, they then asked how they liked their pizza? This is a retro joint with decades of history,( rated amongst Chicago’s best). I absolutely love the service they provide along with the nostalgia. This is what you do not see nowadays at any establishment..

No napkins, no utensils
Quick delivery tho.

I came with my son to get a late night snack and came to Joe’s pizzeria.The thin crust pizza was delicious,our waitress “Nancy” was super nice,and “Greg” the owner was very welcoming.My son said he loved it so much and wants to eat there again.

Joe’s has some of the best pizza in Chicago. My only minor complaint is that with the delivery, the pizza is just not quite hot enough. With that said, it is still great.

I loved their pizza. Small locally owned pizza place, giving an authentic feel when you want a local place to eat. I ordered half sausage half cheese. Also ordered cheesy bread, good stuff! Thin crust is what they serve and over all a really good pizza. The sausage is perfect size not huge and not tiny balls like franchise pizza. They put enough sauce on that you can actually taste the sauce, cheese and sausage. The dinning area is a cozy spot with slot machines while you wait. Check this place out and support your local business owners!

At the time of this review. I have been coming here for 17 years! Hands down one of the best pizza places in the Chicago area. Simple food, simple ingredients, cooked perfectly everytime.
