I had the incredible pleasure of visiting Joe’s Pizza Philly as part of a delightful Philly Food Tour, and I must say, it was an absolute highlight! While Joe’s offers a tempting array of pizzas, it was the renowned Tomato Pie that stole the show. Crafted with meticulous care, this dish embodies the dedication and expertise of the founder.

Maybe some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. And we love pizza. The crust of the pizza is crispy and chewy and the quality of ingredients is excellent. Friendly service too!

Stopped here for a late lunch while exploring the city. It’s in a great location between Rittenhouse Square and City Hall. When you walk in they have the available pizzas out on the counter. I picked out a slice of pepperoni and BBQ chicken. The pizza man slid them into the oven to get nice and toasty. The pepperoni was $4 with the BBQ costing $4.75. Once my slices were ready it was time to find a place to sit. Turns out, that’s really simple here as they have three seating areas and they’re all massive. Overall the pizza was what I was looking for, greasy and tasty with a good sauce. The crust wasn’t great and was quite thick on the BBQ slice. When I walked out, a man showing his family around exclaimed, “This is my favorite pizza place in the city.” There you have it, two reviews in one.

I enjoyed their pizza, fries, chicken, and mozzarella sticks. The pizza was crunchy, and I quite liked that. 10/10, would eat here again. Don’t listen to the 1-star reviews, the pizza tastes great and the sauce isn’t bland.

10/10. They have the best pizza in the city in my opinion. Plus they’re the kindest people you could ever interact with in the city. Lastly very family oriented especially with the coloring books- literally made my day. Go here if you want good pizza. Doesn’t miss.

Although the pizza looked really good, that’s about all it was. The cheese felt like it was string cheese, the sauce was bland and unflavor tasting like watered down tomatoe soup with no seasoning, and the dough was average. Would not recommend the other reviews are very very misleading. The people were nice.
