Placed an order for delivery because Joe’s has in house drivers, and as a service worker myself, I like to tip in cash. Placed an order at 7:00 was told it would be delivered at 7:45. Called at 8:20 asking where my pizza was. Was told the driver went home and my order had been deferred to Doordash and hasn’t been picked up yet?? (Likely because of my cash tip). Never received a phone call indicating this. *I told the woman on phone to forget it and I would pick it up myself.* She said ok. Drove to store. *Was told DoorDash had just left with my pizza??!!* Drove home again. Finally received pizza at 8:45. DoorDash guy still got $10 cash tip on a $30 order because it wasn’t his fault. However, the fact that I told them I was coming to get my pizza after it was already 35 mins late and they still sent it out with DoorDash and still charged me a delivery fee after I travelled to the store to pick up my own pizza is unacceptable. That’s poor management AND poor communication. Never again. Incredibly disappointing. Cold pizza since it sat for over an hour waiting to be picked up. Specifically ordered from Joe’s because I didn’t want DoorDash involved.

I just had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten at Joe’s Pizza and Pasta in Godfrey, Illinois. The combination of pepperoni, onion, and hot honey was unreal—the sweet heat from the honey balanced perfectly with the savory toppings and crispy crust. Every bite had that perfect blend of flavor and texture that makes you want to slow down just to savor it. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. Joe’s absolutely nailed it. I’ll be back!

We love this place! The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. They serve the best pizza I’ve found and their other pasta dishes are very tasty with large portions. The staff are all warm, friendly, and very attentive. All pricing is very reasonable and appropriate. Comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere. We have become frequent customers and enjoy this place, and their food, very much.

This is the second time I have given this place a chance and both times I had a horrible experience with food. Lobster stuffed Alfredo doe not come loaded down with red sauce when it’s supposed to be Alfredo sauce and I asked for a salad with everything and added cheese and croutons and all I got was lettuce with cheese and croutons. I refused to eat it because it was all wrong. The first time I brought a girl in for a date and we sat there for 35 minutes and not once was we waited on so we got up and walked out. I have heard nothing but good things about your business but I have yet to experience any of it. I don’t know if I’ll ever step foot in there again.

We tried both the cauliflower and gluten-free crusts as meat lovers pizzas. Cauliflower is crispier and a little more like a cracker and the gluten free crust is a little doughier. Both were good but pizzas were a little more filled with sauce than we prefer. If you like a lot of sauce, this is your place. I ended up wearing some of it My husband has Celiac and I am gluten intolerant and neither of us had any issues. I enjoyed the leftovers for breakfast. A 10-inch crust is their only option in the gluten-free. The service was excellent.

I ordered a three topping pizza, tasted very decent not disappointed at all!
The reason for the three star review concerns the taste of their food. I was told that their Alfredo was made in house, and so I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very good. it did not taste homemade at all, it tasted like something that had been frozen or come out of a jar. Whoever made it does not know how to make an Alfredo sauce, I couldn’t even taste any Parmesan cheese whatsoever. Fettuccine noodles were overcooked, and the sauce lacked flavor. The main ingredient in Alfredo sauce is Parmesan cheese, which is naturally salty and has a robust flavor. I don’t know what they put in their sauce, but it tasted very bland to me. It’s no big deal, I just won’t order that item again.
So I do not recommend their fettuccine Alfredo pasta.
also, would recommend that you call in your order instead of ordering it online because sometimes they don’t seem to get their online orders right away and when you show up, they may say they just got it in and you have to wait additional time. Have never had a problem with-called-in orders, though! I would still recommend this place if you decide to go in person, but I think it’s too risky to order it delivered because they don’t ensure the quality of their food.

Called Joe’s in godfrey all I got was boom boom boom in my ear. Then a girl answered and said wait a second. So I waited then I could hear girls talking and I said hello then they hung up on me. Very piss poor way of doing business will.not go there again really rude way of treating customers
