A must-visit for anyone in NYC! Joe’s is a total institution and it’s easy to see why. Not only is it famous from the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movie, but the history is real—established in 1975 by Joe Pozzuoli from Naples. The pizza is the quintessential New York street slice: thin, crispy, and perfectly balanced. I love that you can get a quick slice or a full pie, with plenty of vegetarian and non-veg options. It’s popular with tourists, but it still feels like the authentic spot native New Yorkers love.

Amazing pizza stopped in got cheese and pepperoni slices and was absolutely delicious, sauce was on point, cheese great quality and the dough had that crispy taste I desire in a slice… 8.4 rating from me worthy of a stop and visit if in the area for sure

The food, service, atmosphere, and most importantly, the pizza was great! Thank you for your service! Came here on 10/19/25 and was not disappointed! Ordered one slice of cheese and one slice of pepperoni. And got a ginger ale soda! It was delicious and hit the spot! I love Joe’s pizza and have been to Joe’s Pizza on numerous occasions at their various different locations! ♥️ my photos and video are attached that capture my great/positive experience!

Classic NYC slice, but nothing to rave about. You can get a slice like this in many nyc pizzerias. Definitely over hyped and priced. Maybe celebrities and Spider-Man made this place famous? Credit accepted.

Joe’s Pizza is one of those classic New York spots that’s more about the experience than the pizza itself. Worth trying once if you’re visiting NYC, just to say you’ve had it.
A couple things to note: they only accept cash, so come prepared. The crust is airy and fluffy, which is nice, but overall the pizza felt mid and a bit underwhelming.
I tried both the margherita and pepperoni slices. The margherita was below average, and the pepperoni was just average. The sauce lacked depth compared to some of the truly amazing pizza spots New York has to offer.
Not bad, not great. More of a tourist staple than a must-return spot.

Decent pizza, but not the best NY-style. The line was surprisingly long given how close it is to Times Square, though it did move quickly. The pepperoni was pretty greasy and the supreme was just okay, but the Sicilian slice was definitely the standout.”

Jusy awesome pie / pizza the base is super crispy. Dont know how they do it on such a large pie. It tastes fresh. Pepproni full of fennel. Calabrese loveky fresh tomatoes..best pizza ever tasted. Theres tons of pizza food teucks now in the uk or pizza joints. This beats them all. Fast service! Small joints, simple menu make this an essential new york visit.

I had two slices of the veggie pizza. The place was very crowded, but it didn’t really live up to the hype. The taste was pretty normal — nothing extraordinary. I’d say it’s more of a one-time visit kind of place.

THE best classic NY slice. Have never had anything less than a 9/10 meal here. Great prices, even better pizza. Highly recommend you make the effort to grab a slice here whether you’re an out of towner or a local.

I get the hype now. A must visit for a classic ny pizza. The place gets crazy crowded so I strongly recommend going early or late and not with +3 people since it doesn’t really have sitting at all. You eat standing up which I don’t mind but it’s important to consider. Went there twice and loved it.
