Verdict across every visit? Always very good, never quite great, yet somehow still delicious enough for me to keep occasionally coming back.
Today’s dine-in observations? The busy bar hums like a friendly neighborhood tavern (beer & wine only, but it charms). We ordered salads with a slice on the side. Salads? Crisp, zesty, standing ovation worthy. Slices? Daughter’s pepperoni: gloriously greasy, an oil slick on foldable NY crust. My spinach-feta: feta lands the punchline, spinach phones it in – overcooked, flavor on vacation. Crust, though? Chef’s kiss every time – light, crispy, authentically foldable perfection. The sauce? Almost tasteless – perhaps on purpose to spotlight crust and toppings? – but it mutes the overall flavor party.
Service zips like a Broadway usher on opening night. Four stars because “very good” is the consistent verdict, as I’ll keep folding back for that tasty, reliable magic. Grab a slice, hug the crust, taste some NY in Atlanta.
Great fast/friendly service. Good beer selection
Unfortunately today I learned that this store blatantly supports FASCISM and un-american values that threaten our closest diplomatic allies. Directly behind the register was a sign saying “New location coming soon Greenland, USA.”
Some of my very close friends served and died in Iraq alongside our Greenland and Danish allies who bled to defend our democracy. Blatantly disrespecting their sacrifice and openly supporting an authoritarian regime is abhorrent and I will never be supporting this restaurant again.
I’d call for them to be ashamed, but owners that willingly show this sort of love of fascism would probably call ICE on their own employees.
I will NEVER return or support in any way, and I will make it a mission to let every friend and family member know why.
They have lost an extremely loyal customer that will never forgive or forget.
Joe’s Pizzeria on Mansell Rd in Alpharetta/Roswell makes the best stromboli I’ve had since back in college.
But we were pleasantly surprised. Nice place. Almost like a bar and grill type setting. We are pleasantly welcomed in seated and the server was very attentive and did a great job while we were there. Those ordered our slice. It came very quickly, hot and fresh and very tasty.
If you like New York South Pizza, this could be a good place for you to come. It’s not the best New York style pizza I’ve had but it’s very very good.
The pizza is as good as it gets, imho, in the ATL area. Starting with the crust, it is crispy, thin and holds up well. The sauce is nicely sweet and tangy. The cheese has smooth quality with good flavor. I really like it.
The service is always quick and friendly. They want to please your every request. Everyone makes you feel at home.
My all accounts, Joe’s is worth every bit of your time and money.
