I love cooking but there times – momma needs a night off!!! Well feeding my starving family is not an option I know that Joe’s Meat Market always has my back! Whether it’s subs for a concert, family style meals, breakfast sandwiches, pizza, the list goes on. I’ve been a customer since I moved into SBB 23 years ago. When I was pregnant and could not shop for meat – Joe had me covered and cut everything to my liking and request. I appreciate a good butcher and helps save me time, money, and my sanity having my meats cut accordingly to my requests. We order meats often for bulk or batch cooking which goes great for my freezer meals! Hands down Joe’s is my go-to for everything especially when I do not want to cook!!!

On a rather warm day, I stopped in to get a quick bite for the road. The Italian sandwich hit the spot just perfectly. Not overdone or overpowering with the toppings, and the meat portion was nicely substantive. The prices were quite reasonable, and I found the service to be friendly and engaging. It was a pleasure coming here.

We came back here a second time and we couldn’t be more happy. The prices are so reasonable. Says this Italian Mama! they have the lunch meat counter. You could get some fresh cold cuts. Absolutely wonderful food! The Stromboli was awesome. The calzone pizza everything and they were very courteous!! And again EXTREMELY REASONABLY WELL PRICED!

Long time NJ Resident who recently moved to Nevada. I am back in NJ to get my deceased Dad’s house cleaned out and on the market. Having lived in Somerset County for 50+ years I thought I knew all of the best local joints for sandwiches etc etc. That is until my buddy recommended this place to me a few weeks ago. So glad he did – great food, great helpful courteous people behind the counter, and pretty much everything I tried so far is excellent. If I have one “complaint”, it is the menu is so huge, it takes me 10 minutes every time I go there to figure out what I am going to order. In other words – it is not a complaint, but rather a sincere compliment of the incredible diversity of fantastic food they offer on a daily basis. We went there 3 times in ten days and ordered at least 6 different items – all were excellent. In fact, we stopped there on the way to Newark Airport the other day to pick up food for our flight home, and it was excellent. What an enjoyable flight back cross-country as we feasted on a bunch of great food we picked up at Joe’s. Even the lady sitting across from me was like “wow, that looks and smells great!” In a nutshell, if you are in the area and hungry – stop in and get something. you will not be sorry.

Pizzeria in the front, deli in the back, street parking. Got the $7 cheese steak special. It was a good size for the price. The steak was underseasoned and a little dry, while the bread was nice and crusty on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. I noticed the 2 pizza slices and a can of soda for $5 special – that’s value!

This is one of my favorite delis to go in the state. My experiences are usually good but today not so much. I ordered a turkey and provolone 14 inch sub and two slices of pizza with a can of soda while I receive my sub I was waiting for the two slices. I waited over 30 minutes and no one they acknowledge my presence while I was waiting for the pizzas. I know it was very busy there, but there is no reason why I should’ve waited that long for two slices so I just picked up and left without the pizza. I felt like I was invisible there. I come to this place from time to time and I really love it a lot but after this experience, I don’t know if I want to come back again it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Saw this place on Triple D and just had to check it out. It was worth the minor detour and I would definitely go again. They don’t skimp on anything and like the kid who was featured on the show said “we aim to feed”. High quality meats, cheeses and breads. Highlights are definitely the antipasto bread, the sloppy Joe and the Italian. Looking forward to finding a way to get back here soon.
