This place has delicious food! It is downtown in the historic district. I gave it four stars because we came with a large group and planned to make a night of it. We were all looking forward to a glass of wine or beer, but sadly, they have no liquor license. The group we were with gets together once a year, so we were all disappointed as there is nothing posted to let you know this until you’ve sat down.
With that being said, the food was amazing! The lobster ravioli was the best I’ve eaten. Many in the group had the chicken parmigiana and said it was also a hit. The helpings are huge and the prices are very reasonable. The salads were ok. Bread comes with the meal and it was like a type of biscuit with Parmesan cheese.
Give this place a try. I’m glad we did.

Tried this place out and was very impressed!!! Our server Cheyenne was the sweetest and on point on getting refills and prebussing the table for each course. She was amazing! Our food was phenomenal !! The appetizer last photo was the Brochetta bread. The first photo is the combo trio (to die for, do delicious) and middle chicken Alfredo. We will definitely be coming back here! There were so many options it was hard to choose! Definitely check this place out!

Absolutely had a wonderful time! Isabel, our server, was amazing, very polite, and respectful! Joe was awesome! Walking around to tables, making sure everyone one was, also cleaning tables. The interaction was just absolutely terrific! The food was amazing! The cream cheesecake was soo delicious!

Great italian food. My friend ordered veal piccata and i enjoyed the cicken piccata with ziti noodles.
Both meals had huge portions and cost under $50. Which included homemade hot italian rolls and our drinks.
Great service, even though it was a busy Friday night.

My husband and I enjoyed our time with our lovely dining experience. We got the stuffed mushrooms, fried ravioli, steak cremora, and a shrimp ala casa (pictured). We ended the night with a wonderful strawberry cheese cake (pictured). Our server was wonderful, and checked on us often. Her name is Gracelynn and did an amazing job. We also enjoyed an apple martini (pictured), and a long island tea.

We had an absolutely wonderful afternoon at Amore Italian Restaurant in Ottumwa! Total 5⭐️ experience as the servers were super attentive and welcoming, and the ambiance felt cozy and authentic. Both our Chicken Marsala and Sicilian Marsala were beyond superb, with rich, flavorful sauces & authentic pasta. Everything was perfectly cooked reflecting a true Italian experience. Both portion sizes were also extremely generous without & compromising quality. We will definitely be returning very soon and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for absolutely AMAZING authentic Italian cuisine in Ottumwa ! You literally cannot go wrong with anything you order on the menu!

Everything was Amazing!! We started with the Calamari! It was good but they sprinkle cayenne pepper on it. So I’ll know next time to tell them no pepper!! The chicken parm sub was soooo good. The bread and chicken was soooo perfect! And the cannoli!!! Omfgggg the best ever!!! Definitely get the dessert!! We will definitely be back!
