All I can say is if you want a glimpse of dusty old west character, this be yer stop. I randomly took a side road from Bridgeport on the 395 through land yet uncharted by me headed towards Goose Lake on my way to Seattle from LA mid-COVID. That drive is long, desolate and lonely. The only car I saw was the Washoe County Sheriff over the course of several hundred miles. I legit thought they’d find my desiccated body in 50 years after I ran out of gas and died. I stopped here hoping to buy something to drink only to walk in to find two dusty cowboys and a lady who slowly turned and looked at me like I was Clint Eastwood’s Blondie. Without even crossing the threshold of the door I slowly retreated got back in my truck and drove on, parched as I was before I stopped. Five stars for character and adventure, unless you’re going to burning man, Gerlach doesn’t seem like the best place for random visitors, but sometimes you just gotta dip your toe in the water. Eventually I found gas and rolled into a station on fumes in Cedarville on my way back to the 395. Great adventure!

All the bartenders are great! There’s always a battle on the pool table and the drinks are cold and cheap! Definitely worth checking out. It’s also the only bar in town with slot machines if you are into that sort of thing. Karen, Tina, and Damien are all rockstars!

Place is amazing. The Bartender is very kind and helpful came in with a busted car and money. Was helped by bartender as well as local patrons. Will be coming back on better terms!
