If I wrote this review 20 years ago it would have been much different. The location had only one other family here and it took a few minutes to get a seat. There were tables that were not cleaned off all over this location, and there was dust on everything. The waitress didn’t show up for a few minutes. She took our drink order and brought them back to us rather quick. Once the order was placed for our food it took more than 20 minutes for the food to come. The food was overpriced and the food didn’t even taste that great. It took forever to get our bill and then to pay it. Not a place I can continue to recommend unfortunately. I can see why they are closing locations. They serve alcoholic beverages, Coke products, and Regular Dr. Pepper. R.I.P. Joe’s Crabshack, It’s seen better days…

I was really disappointed with our food. We started off with the Joe’s Sampler and the calamari was ridiculously over cooked and all the breading was falling or had fallen off. I pointed it out to our server and she quickly offered to get us a new order. The second order was not much better. My daughter ate a few good pieces off the top and the bottom was pretty much the same. Over cooked and breading falling off. We didn’t even bother to say anything and just didn’t eat it. When my sons Captains catch was dropped off by the server the fish’s breading had already completely come off. I asked if it was normal for all the breading on everything to not even stick to the fried food and she told me the fish was too flaky for the breading they were using and quickly hurried off. My son refused to eat it. At least the fries and popcorn shrimp were good. Another 20 min after that and I finally got my food. I ordered the Cajun hot pot. The shrimp, crab legs, and lobster claws were cooked good but the potatoes were undercooked and the corn severely overcooked and dried up. We didn’t touch them. I honestly had lost my appetite and just cleaned the crab legs and lobster claws open for my daughter who loves seafood. Also, some of the mussels were not even open and you could tell they had not been cleaned properly because they still had the little appendages attached to the outside of the closed shells. I’ve worked in the industry for 16 year. Specifically seafood kitchens in Florida and up until March I was the culinary manager for bonefish grill. I understand the circumstances of being understaffed in a kitchen but the quality Joes Crab shack is serving and dishing out to its patrons is not good. I personally will not be returning but I still managed to tip properly and not make much of a fuss because I can sort of understand. The server was at least nice.

I feel like I should be fair here and explain why I won’t give it a full five stars. I deducted half a point because the ladies bathroom smelled awful of urine, yet my husband said the men’s did not…. unusual but gross! I deducted half a point because the lobster tail platter was over priced for the quality of food served. First the lobster tails were small and precuts. The broccoli served with the platter tasted of other foods which tells me your steam table water needed changed or something is allowing flavors to mix when they should not. However, the service was good. The East Coast Platter was exceptional! The drinks were worth the money! Trust me! We ordered a couple Mason jar drinks…yummy! If you finish the drink you get to keep the Mason jar! Bonus! Souvenirs are 2 for $20! Date night memories! For all you true seafood lovers the steam pots are for you! Fish lovers must try the cod and the catfish! Seriously a little for everyone! Have someone who isn’t into seafood? Order from the onshore menu and try a steak or burger!

Had such an incredible experience here, it’s going to sound corny, but there was an awesome Father Son moment while he learned from his Daddy how to eat crab legs! We absolutely loved this place, and will be back!! Our server was so awesome. I wish I could remember his name. We ordered the ‘wrong” thing, and when we explained to him what we wanted he knew exactly what we should get, and I’m so glad he did. This place is a whole vibe! I remember seeing it on San Diego, and promising I would go one day, here I am an adult in a land locked state, and finally got to do it!!! Great job to this place for providing such a great time!!!

Lots of options for boiled dinners consisting of crab, Lobster, shrimp, potatoes, corn, sausage, and other goodies! On Tuesdays, they have an all you can eat shrimp special, featuring four different types of shrimp along with french fries and coleslaw. You can have as many of any style, or all four. The shrimp offered includes spicy hot, spicy cold, crunchy deep-fried battered, and coconut shrimp. The spicy Persians are both peel and eat.
The décor is inspired by slightly weathered surf Shacks, with tie dye shirts, and sixties colors. Prices here are slightly high, but no worse than Red Lobster, and to be expected in dry locked Colorado.
The wait staff is friendly, but can sometimes be slow to a attend your table.

Went to Joe’s Crab Shack for the first time today and wow, the food was amazing! We ordered the stuffed flounder and the crab steam pot. Presentation and food were great! Our waitress Abbey was super nice and very attentive. We even met the GM Selma which was also very nice and friendly! To top it off, we even took home a new dish, Vodka Chicken Pasta…. Amazing!!!! Will definitely go back! Thanks for such great food and amazing service!!!

Got seated rather quick, my margarita took about 20 minutes to arrive, order took about 10 minutes to place and over 30 minutes to arrive, I saw about 3 tables each with couples and two families arrived after we placed our order, saw no real reason for order to be so slow except for the fact that they overcooked everything. Food was so overcooked it was difficult to bite into much less chew, crab was tough and tasteless. Margarita was supposed to be frozen strawberry and it was light pink, short on any juice or alcohol and was more than 3/4 full of solid ice for $11.25. service was so so for the little time we saw anyone.
Was unimpressed. Both of us ate around 7pm and it’s 11pm and both us have upset stomachs and have been to the bathroom numerous times. Came here right before pandemic and was blown away this time I wouldn’t have bothered at all, I would compare this food to something I would expect to receive at Hooters. Definitely not worth the $100 I spent.

Absolutely loved the food and my husband did as well! Our waitress Angela was amazing and sweet as could be! Told her it was my husbands birthday (actually took him in a day early lol) and they sang to him and it was seriously amazing! I personally am not a huge fan of seafood BUT the seafood here was absolutely amazing and I enjoyed it and the drinks! Will definitely be back again!

Ordered to go over the phone and when I got there, there was only 6 ppl in the whole place; kind of erie. Ordered bacon wrapped shrimp and great balls of fire. When I arrived to pickup my food, I was told they were out of great balls of fire. Shrimp was 5/5.
