I love crab and this place has excellent crab. The corn on the cob was good, not a fan of the potatoes but oh well I came for the crab. I love the shirts you can buy, one says eat me and the other bite me, and a bunch of others. The server was super nice and friendly.

If you go, go for the food. Don’t go for the service or if you like a vibrant active venue. More servers than customers when we were there, and still we felt ignored and unappreciated. We were the only two people sitting at the bar, but the bartender’s time was dominated by the break room or chatting with the only table of patrons in the dining area. It felt like they would rather we weren’t there. It was creepy. Cold. Empty on a Friday happy hour. Maybe they were waiting for a bigger crowd before they’d step up their game. Not the atmosphere we look for. Nice crispy fried fish and shrimp on our visit. Fries were wonderful. But it was an emotional downer.

We were greeted at the door by a very nice gentleman who took us to our table. He explained all of the specials and asked if we had any questions. He told us our server Michael J would be over to take our order and he was there within 30 seconds! Michael was kind, knowledgeable and courteous! The manager also came over and introduced himself as Ben Hartman. He told us if we needed anything at all to wave him down which we didn’t need to do at all because our server Michael was fabulous! We asked questions about the menu and he was able to answer them all perfectly. We had the popcorn shrimp for an appetizer and it was absolutely amazing. The breading was perfect and the shrimp was wonderful. I could go on for an hour about how amazing everyone and everything was but I won’t. Going to Joe’s and eating there was the best thing we did on our mini vacation to the cities. We will definitely be going back there during our next trip to the cities! Thank you all for the amazing experience and the FANTASTIC food! (The Cajun steam pot is the BEST-not too spicy you can’t eat it but it does have a kick!)

I’ve gone here a few times for special occasions with my girlfriend and the two times we have gone it was a good experience. The service was friendly and informative about what to expect with the steam pots and what we should try in the crab. The bartender accidentally brought us another $10 and did not charge us for it and did not bring it back to the bar to dump it out. The food came quickly and was fresh, we got the key-lime pie for dessert and it was fantastic.

I have eaten at Joe’s many times and thought the service and food was excellent. My husband and I went to Joe’s on 12-4-15 and it was the worst experience. The servicer was fine. The food came out and I was shocked. My husband ordered the East Coast Platter, the fish was the size of a fish stick and was so soggy it fell apart. I ordered the Crab Cake dinner, my crab cakes had no crab in them, they were all breading and were flatter than a pancake. I had my husband try a bite and asked if he tasted crab he said no. We sat there waiting for our waiter to come back to check in, but we ended up going to the bar to get a manager. We explained what was wrong to her, she gave us a look as if we were complaining to get free food. We told her we wanted to pay for our drinks and leave, she said okay and that was it. No apologies or anything. I don’t know if I will ever go back now. Which is really sad because living in MN its hard to find good seafood.

First time the food was good, generous portions, and great service. The second time, the food was okay, significantly smaller portions, but the service was still good. They sure had a lot of staff for how slow the place was, but when they do those birthday songs, it seems like you do need about 10 servers to harmonize it. I’d rather have good food than some cheesy annoying atmosphere. I know Joe’s trying to be a fun place, but it appeals to a smaller demographic. Focus on the food Joe.

Good food but service can be a hit or miss. I love their crab legs and honestly probably one of the best places to get them in town and they try to have a upbeat entertaining environment but the service could use some work. At times we’ll be taken care of really good and at times we will wait forever for service and so it depends on the day. The drinks are good and the food is good. Only thing I have against this place is that it could use some service tweaks.

My family and I came here today and we weren’t pleased with the customer service. It wasn’t great. We had to wait a long time for our appetizers because the waiter forgot to put it in. We got our order and it was wrong but that wasn’t a big deal. Just all the waiting time. None of us never got a refill. My husband was drinking out of my cup. We were never asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. There was another customer waiting a long time to make his payment too and he didn’t look happy. Overall the food was good they just need to work on their customer service. This isn’t the first time this happened at this location.

Fun. Fun. Wait staff a always friendly. I will continue to return over and over. The place is over the top with crazy stuff on the walls & ceilings — it is sensory overload, but my kids love it. the food is fine — nothing great — but it hits the spot when you are looking for some seafood. Great energy in the place.

There were four of us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was hot and delicious. We had so much we brought half of it home. The service was good with friendly staff. We find Red Lobster and Olive Garden salty and O.G.’s biscuits like chewing mush. Like Joe’s much better.
