Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy.
Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

Horrible, is the first thing I have to say about the service, atmosphere, and food. We (party of three) arrived around 4:45, they said it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait. It ended up being an hour and 18 minutes. They were extremely un organized. After being sat at our table it was about 15 minutes before someone came by and asked if we had been waited on, we said no. The waitress said ill be right back. 20 minutes into our actual dining experience we got our drinks. The same waitress came back and took our food order. very nice and polite woman, but didn’t get our order correct. When the food came out and we noticed it was wrong, we waved her over to the table and let her know what we received wasn’t what we ordered. The waitress said she could take it all back and re make our food order. This would add time to our already 3 hour horrible experience of a dinner. We said no we would just keep the wrong food. The waitress then began to tell us we would be charged for what we ordered and not what we received. What we had ordered was in total about 60 dollars more than what we received. After telling her if she charged us for anything more than what we received, I would need to talk to the manager, the waitress finally brought the bill out for everything we had ordered, no more no less. No apologies or anything. Total we wasted 3 hours 48 minutes of the end of our vacation for Joe’s crab shack. This was our first and last time, we will never be back. 112 dollars for what is in the pictures. Two plates were supposed to have lobster.

It’s a pretty big place, doesn’t have a parking spot but there’s private parking near by, it has several props inside including a shark that looks awesome, several seats in and out, BTW there a big boat parking in the backyard as per photos.
In regards of the service it was good, took a time for them to assign to us a table and took little bit more to take our order, luckily the bartender was super proactive and help us with everything I’m really happy with the service he provided to us.
In regards of the food, it was outstanding I really loved the seafood I ordered and the drinks were fun with lights and everything.

Had a challenge with the host wanting to seat us at a small table but once we got past the attitude at the door, our waitress was friendly and accommodating and just great! Food was delicious and it was a great experience. We sat inside due to the temps and were able to sit at a booth near the windows.

We walked in last night for dinner. We were seated right away and had the option of eating inside or outside. Stephanie, our server was phenomenal!!!! She had excellent recommendations and helped us pick out the perfect drinks! My boyfriend and I both got the king crab bucket. It was melt in your mouth AMAZING!!!!!
The atmosphere was beautiful with the boats going by and the sun setting.

Best service I’ve had in a long time. Food was hot and tasty. Stephany was fantastic and helped us celebrate a family birthday. Love this location to eat on the water. My family always want to come at least once when we visit Savanna.
Enjoy!

So it was the first time ever trying this place, very busy place, clean and the service was pretty good under the circumstances. The manager definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. We did not pay for any part of our meal. The food was good, but everything was cold, we didn’t want to wait another hour to get new food as we had other places to be. I always try to give places second chances, so I will have to try this place again. Just next time maybe not on a Saturday night

This place was a mess. There was hardly anyone there when we arrived, so I didn’t expect the service to take the 2+ hours for just 3 people. We sat down, waitress said she’d bring our “bucket,” which has condiments, straws, etc. It never came. We ordered drinks, had to ask for straws 3x. We ordered food, after over 45 min. the food for 2 of us came, but the steamer bag came after another 10 min. None of us had silverware. We kept asking for them. One of us had soup, after the steamer bag, the silverware finally came, instead of wrapped in a napkin it came in the servers hand. Like, just in her hand. The soup was ok. The ceasar salad with chicken came with ceasar dressing, which was thick and gelatinous. The salmon was ok. The steamer bag was horrible. The muscles did not open properly which, I believe, signals they are old. The crab was good. The shrimp were large but not very tasty. Then randomly, the waitress brings a hard-boiled egg and says sorry we forgot this in the bag. The desserts were not very tasty despite just being cake. It was definitely NOT worth the $140+. They were running a giveaway, if you photographed yourself eating the steamer, posted on social media, and tagged them, you were entered to win something. Honestly, I wouldn’t go back, even for free. Don’t #securethebag, and just give a hard pass to #joescrabshack

Had a wonderful meal and time here! Right on the riverfront with a unique style to it. There’s a gift shop up front for their restaurant. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Our waiter gave us great insight into what was best on the menu for food and drinks. I ordered the crab and shrimps nachos, which were amazing! I also got a Margherita. I loved all my foods and drinks. The establishment was clean and spacious. We set outside on the deck. Don’t feed the pigeons! Had a great time and will definitely come back.

The location is awesome! We ate outdoor with a view to the river. It was so relaxing and not crowded at all. Service was okay overall, waitress did not check with us much, she was busy indoor with other tasks. We had the king crab legs and they were great.

Arrived at 1:05 pm on a Sunday afternoon and was told the short wait would be 10-15 minutes. We thought what great luck we must have landed at the perfect time with such a short wait time. After giving the young lady our name, we then noticed that over half of the tables were completely empty. After speaking with the hostess, she informed us that there were only 3 waitresses and that they were short staffed. Being quite understanding, we were seated within the 15 minute window.
That is where the absolutely terrible service began. If you own this restaurant, you may need new management, if you are a manager, you may need to seek other employment opportunities. Our table was not addressed by a waitress for another 20+ minutes, then it took another 30+ minutes and we still didn’t get our food. All of this when there were literally 10 tables with customers.
We understand being short staffed. We understand it is not the hostess or waitress/waiters issue. It is squarely a management issue and an ownership issue. Management and ownership should be stripped of their franchise!
For the hardworking staff, bless you for giving all that you had!
