Food is as usual amazing. Always get the steamer pots and i am never disappointed. Waiters & Waitresses are always so nice and so helpful. Also the drink menu is beyond accommodating to both beer lovers and mixed drink lovers! definitely will be a place i love to go

So all the negative reviews are true: small portion, over priced, bad service, blah blah blah. My family came to celebrate Mother’s Day. Arrived around 6:10 Sunday, probably the peak time of the day. We got our seats fairly quickly. But we had to wait for 30 minutes for our appetizers and another 45 minutes for the main dishes. My food came out with a missing item. We hoped a relaxing and cheerful night. But the burning feeling of beer in an empty stomach really chipped away any notion of celebrations or relaxation during the long wait, together with many many disappointments when a waiter carried food passing our table time and time again. It would be unfair to blame the hard working waiters and waitresses. The incompetent management made this restaurant a miserable place that no one will miss.

Two visits in the last few months. Neither was wonderful. Overpriced (barely mediocre) seafood and bad service were prevalent on both trips. First visit, there were no kids menus, so we were shown a printout of a kids menu that was not inclusive of the entrees and drinks. Celebrated a birthday party and were told they didn’t have candles (and that people usually provide their own, which I’ve never seen nor heard anywhere else.) Bartenders didn’t know how to make drinks from their menu. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your seafood fix.

The wait staff was awesome. The were great to the kiddos. THERE is a pirate ship the kiddos can play either waiting for their food or afterwards. Food was pretty good. WE didn’t get the buckets, a little pricey but the sea food was excellent.

As someone who knows seafood the food here was not good. The crab cakes don’t hold together, the stuffed shrimp had so much stuffing that made the shrimp overcooked in order to cook the stuffing to temp. To be fair, it is a crab restaurant and I didn’t get crab. My lady’s food was not hot when it came out. Our server, Bevin, was great though. Drinks were good and the Remolaude sauce was good too.

Horrible! Do not eat here!!! As the guy before me said the negative reviews are true. Horrible service. Had to wait an hour after seating our appetizers never came. They do not attend large parties as gratuity is included and is 18%. They are not attentive at all because they are getting paid with over priced plates and small portions and nasty flavor, sea food is not fresh, no meat inside. Had clams and all the shells were empty. What a horrible experience. Never again will I attend any Joe’s crab shake.

Great food, great service. I got the Dungenous crab pot in Old Bay and I recommend it highly. There are several huge crabs, some red potatoes and a delicious ear of corn in the pot. If you haven’t been there, this place is a must ! Lobster, crab, shrimp, clams, etc. So disappointed to hear that this restaurant closed, along with several others. Now the nearest one is in Lawrenceville.

I’m embarrassed that I was so close to the Jersey shore and ate at this subpar chain. It’s so loud (that whole screaming/singing happy birthday at peoples’ tables must die). The food pretty much sucks and tastes like something out of a food court in the mall. The fried calamari tasted like something you’d get in Applebees…in Ohio. The wait staff was friendly….almost disturbingly so. Keep driving….you’re almost at the shore.
