Great food, great music, great owner, great staff, great bartenders. I love this place and I had some of my best memories here. I think the owner is a very nice and smart guy and that’s one of the reasons why this place has it all. If you wanna party, they have a huge space in the back with big mirrors (if anyone claims to have a dance bar and they don’t have mirrors there, they don’t know the business at all) and great DJs and light and music. OMG I’ve been to some of the fanciest bars in California but none of them can beat my experience from Joe’s. Totally worth the time (to stay in the line) and money (cover fee and drinks).

For a college bar, this place has pretty spectacular food. This review is going to be based solely on their food. Their burgers are a lot better than most other places, and if you go when they have specials on burgers, they can be as low as $5. The fries here are amazing as they are twice fried for extra crispiness. Their fried pickles are amazing and this is one of the few places in town that serves them. Being a bar, it can be extremely crowded.

A block after leaving Joe’s I realized I had lost an item and went back to search for it. One worker opened the exit gate so I went inside, only for bouncer to yell that because I had stepped out thirty seconds prior I had to leave. I tried to explain I had lost item and asked if if he can help me find it only to be told “No!!!” and get pushed out. Stood in line to get back inside only for the rude manager to inform me I wasn’t allowed in anymore because I was “too drunk” (laughably false but I guess it’s their default response to mask egregiously unprofessional behavior). Manager offered one of the most backhanded “apologies” I had ever heard, zero willingness to help me find lost item and said that the bouncer pushed me because he was “stressed.” In bouncer’s defense, if I worked for such management, I would be stressed too!

The only reason I ever eat here is the half-off burgers on Tuesday and Thursday. The burgers are over-priced otherwise. They are adequate burgers, but nothing special. The special burgers usually have a lot of toppings, which makes sense for a bar that caters to undergraduates. This is definitely an undergrad bar, so grad students may want to get burgers to go.

Great burgers and the best fries. Highly recommend the spazzle. Their white bbq is so good, I always order a cup on the side as well. Lots of outdoor dining seating and a large beer menu.

OMG! In LOVE with the burgers and the loaded fries! The loaded fries were yummy! Came to visit here looking to lease a building to open my new business and stopped in, glad I did it was so worth it! Waitress was awesome, took care of me and checked on me and my husband throughout our meal. We will be back. Meanwhile I took a picture of my food and bragged on my Facebook page.
