My boyfriend & I decided to come here to celebrate his 22nd birthday, & this restaurant did not disappoint! Our server, Carson, was incredible & provided top notch service, & was also very knowledgeable about the menu (I’m gluten free so it’s rare to find that!). He was super attentive & we never felt rushed despite the restaurant being absolutely slammed since it was a Saturday night.
Another server (not sure of her name but she was wearing cherry earrings!) came up & complimented me & said I looked like Mavis from Hotel Transylvania, which was the best compliment ever! I really appreciated her kindness – it made me feel so special!
The food was to DIE for – my boyfriend got the OTP pasta dish which he absolutely loved & I got the gluten free Calabrese pizza, which was arguably the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had at a restaurant! We got a lemon drop martini & the Purple Court drink, which were both phenomenal as well. Overall, we could not recommend this restaurant enough. They even gave us cannolis on the house to celebrate his birthday!
My boyfriend & I both agree that this is in our top 3 restaurants we’ve tried, & we will definitely be back ❤️
Visited 8/18 and they accommodated us earlier than our 6pm reservation.
The menu is small, but there are enough options to please guests; it’s probably how they keep food consistent and made to order.
Cioppino was excellent, my husband liked the chicken scallopini (not prepared traditionally, just FYI) and pizza was good. The arancini was a pleasant surprise; quite creamy. Limited dessert options, so we went somewhere else to grab ice cream.
PS if you blink you’ll miss the turn for the entrance.
The pig and fig is an absolute must. The best prosciutto outside of Italy. The duck Ragu, although it doesn’t present quite so well, was amazing, both the duck and homemade pasta. Osso Buco was cooked to perfection, falling off the bone. Octopus was cooked perfectly. But my favorite was the cioppino. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the spicy tomato broth, extremely light, was the best I’ve ever tasted.
Portions are plentiful. Order a variety so you can share, you’ll want a taste of everything!!
The restaurant is less than a year old and they definitely have some kinks to work out. Could absolutely use more help at the bar, it took forever to get our drinks, but the food came out rather quickly. Extremely nice hostess and staff.
Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. Everything was outstanding and we will definitely return. This place is going to turn into a hotspot for sure. We have dined at the May River Grill, which is also terrific, but Joelle is a totally different atmosphere with exceptional food. Now Bluffton has two fantastic restaurants to enjoy. There is definitely room for both.
Haley, our amazing server (and bartender!), made the night extra special with her warmth and professionalism. We shared the baked ricotta with shaved Prosciutto, I had the Veal Milanese, and Sam had the Cioppino loaded with seafood. Perfectly paired with a Super Tuscan and finished off with gelato.
Haley even brought me a sample of their tiramisu made with cold brew—game changer! I’ve never liked tiramisu… until now.
Kristine, the manager, was so welcoming and kind—we felt like the only ones in the place. Great food, exceptional service. What more could you want?
