We had supper here after our Ash Wednesday service and I was thrilled to see they had fish on the menu. The cod platter was delicious! The fish was flaky and the batter was light and flavorful. My two young adults LOVE Joella’s and the location on Cochran Road has the best staff and we are never disappointed. The staff person at the front counter this night was friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Thank you so much for a pleasant evening and tasty meals.

Q was helpful at answering all of our questions. Quick service. Breading was flavorful. Chicken was juicy. We had grilled chicken sliders, tenders and traditional wings. We had ranch, JoJo’s and cheerwine dipping sauces, JoJo’s was our favorite. Tweener was just the right amount of heat for us. Garlic parm fries were yummy and the kale crunch side salad hit the spot for me.

Ordered some big sammies…. hot with slaw and pickles. Also ordred ghost pepper tenders and sourhern tenders. We ordered pickup and were there early enough to wait for it.

Nashville Hot outside of Nashville proper is hard to pull off.

Id put the flavor of the sauce and the quality of the bun and slaw at a 4+. The heat of the hot was a little disappointing but the ghost pepper was ok. The chicken was the problem… over-cooked and old. Held under a lamp? They choked on what should be the easiest part… quality control of fried chicken.

We were hoping for better.

To review this place, I start with positive points. Crispy thin fries were so good. Price wise it was pretty good.
Negative points are as follows
Wings were uncooked and considering the price, it was like throwing your money away.
In terms of cleaning, it was so disappointing. The counter was full of dust which made a bad impression.
With the high google score, I was expecting a lot more.
I do not suggest this place.

Cool spot with outdoor seating besides that… The service was slower than if we ate at a sit down restaurant. Waited a good 15/20 minutes for two orders of tenders and Mac n cheese. Let’s start with the good, the chicken was solid and the sauce spiked honey was amazing. The bad, first off it’s really expensive and the “jumbo tenders” aren’t big enough to justify the price and the Mac n cheese was dry like it was under a heat lamp for the last 6 hours. For the price and wait I don’t know if I’ll be back unless I just want that spiked honey sauce in a gallon jug.

Lady behind the counter was very, very nice, but sick. She literally picked her nose KNUCKLE deep in front of us then handed us drinks from the same hand without washing them, telling us her “cold was killing her.” Food came out cold, no pickle and mine only had sauce dribbled on top instead of being tossed, with large tendons in both strips (a first).Fries were also cold, which is unacceptable when you wait 15-20 minutes in a mostly empty dining room. I’ve eaten at the one in Hamburg regularly and never had a problem…they are always a five star experience ,but the Cochran Rd location was a disgusting experience and we will never go back.

Great food, fabulous service! Got the “Hot” jumbo tenders and fries($13). They were spicy but not too spicy. Fries are really crispy and I highly suggest the honey buffalo sauce. Also got the cookies and cream pie in a jar($6), DELICIOUS! Three tenders were too much for me, I didn’t finish my food. Great service and pretty tidy. All together, pretty good experience.

Immediately when you walk in, you are welcomed by a bright and cheery lady named Milenda. Everyone’s customer service here is A-1. Portion sizes are huge, and the chicken is juicy, fried just right to a crisp, and I got the ghost pepper spice level on the chicken, so that lit a fire under my butt from the first bite. This place is better than the Hattie B’s in downtown Nashville and I really like that place. Its good and quiet in here at lunch time too. I highly suggest the fried pickles, they’re damn good

It was so good! I had a 4 tender meal and a dessert it was all super tasty. I want to also highlight the service. Probably better service here than most any counter service restaurant I’ve been to. The workers were on top of everything, checked on me, kept the place really clean, and the manager also did a check in. They take care of you here.
