I had a very uncomfortable experience at Joe & The Juice – Stanford Shopping Center in Stanford Shopping Center.
Before me in line, the white male employee with beard was friendly and patient with white customers — smiling, chatting, and assisting them normally. However, when it was my turn, his demeanor changed noticeably. He was impatient and dismissive.
When I asked for a bag for my juice, he handed me a paper bag and expected me to put the drink inside myself and that’s it, even though it didn’t feel stable. He did not offer a cup holder. I had to specifically ask for before he provided it.
The contrast in service was uncomfortable and disappointing. As an Asian customer, I left feeling that I was treated differently. Regardless of intent, no customer should feel unwelcome.
I hope management takes this seriously and ensures consistent, respectful service for everyone.

On a Saturday evening around 6pm I visited this spot. I ordered an avocado smoothie and the Acai bowl. The drink and bowl were delicious. My only concern was the cleanliness of this location. The tables were in much need of cleaning and also the floors of a sweeping. If the front of the house is dirty what does that leave to believe the back of the house is? Cleanliness needs to be an ongoing service. There were many employees and not many customers why was this even an issue?

I’m coming out of retirement as a Local Guide just to review good old Joe and the Juice. Me and J&J share the same last name almost. However, the resemblance stops there. Eating here feels like a slap in the face. The prices are so grossly inflated I haven’t seen anything like it, EVEN when adjusting for the already hyper-inflated economic landscape of Palo Alto. The açai bowl I had here was $16 all-in, and was embarrassingly small. I felt personally insulted as a human being, like the closest thing I have come to actually being ripped off since moving here. They say this is a safe area but Joe (of Joe and the Juice) essentially stole from me by inflating those prices so high. The banal platitudes pinned to the wall, such as “when nothing goes right… go left” make me feel cynical and it’s as if they’re making fun of my decision to dine here by drowning me in the most pastiche of kitsch. Its location within Stanford Shopping Center makes the whole place feel like the low-point of American capitalism in 2025. Don’t get me wrong, if it was a BIG creamy açai bowl I’d be singing a very different tune, but it was tiny, and I am left starving and ashamed. Also it’s loud and the workers yell a lot. 1/5

CAUTION huge safety risk with this store. They think its acceptable to give sandwiches to dashers just in the wrapper. Its like ordering a McDonalds cheeseburger and tehy just give the burger to the dasher no bag. So it just sits on a dirty car seat and its open on both end so it is actually dangerous for people with allergies if the dashers have pets you never know. This happened to me several times and I contacted corporate but they have as much care for their customers as the employees in the store none at all. Total No-Go!

The WORST service I have ever received in my entire life. Eli (don’t even know if that’s her real name so I’ll describe how she looks) dark curly hair, young female, working tonight Dec 1 at 6:00PM on Hamilton location, was so rude.
I ordered a VEGAN avocado sandwich and she gave me a tuna sandwich. I bit into it and ate tuna. I don’t eat fish, I’m allergic!!!!! I came back in with the sandwich, and told her what happened, and she didn’t seem surprised which almost makes me wonder if she purposely made my sandwich wrong?! Didn’t even say she was sorry or show any empathy. I’m pregnant !!!! I told her this !!! Absolutely TERRIBLE service I will never order from ANY Joe & the juice EVER again. She needs to be fired!!!!

$32 for a small latte, some juice that’s half foam and a small sandwich. Don’t come here chief, it ain’t worth it unless you’re a high roller.

If I could give negative stars, I would. The store is completely disorganized with no separate lines for ordering and pickup, which makes the whole process chaotic. The prices are outrageous—almost 2.5 times what Jamba Juice charges. To top it all off, I watched them put apples into the juicer that were visibly unwashed, with the fruit wax still on the peel. Absolutely unacceptable.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED. never had a worse food experience in my life in all aspects of quality, taste and service. Ordered the Iron Man and was served an abysmally minuscule cup. But guess what. This comedically small cup wasn’t even half full. Are we kidding me right now! Not only that, it cost me a whopping $12. Inflation this inflation that, I do not care. AND IT DIDNT EVEN TASTE GOOD!! I’ve never felt so deeply insulted to every fiber of my being as an individual, a food enthusiast, and a customer. You have been warned.

Hip juice and quick serve food counter establiment with numerous outlets. The juice selection is pretty comprehensive within an upscale price range. Food is proper and limited to certain breads and ways of preparation. Food space is spacious enough indoors and with table seating along outdoor sides. Though since it is counter style dont expect cleanliness is maintained. Good for very quick meals and small groups. Some diners use it as their workplace given the fast foot traffic.
