The wife and I were looking for a local sports bar to watch Monday Night Football, where the Detroit Lions were facing the Baltimore Ravens, and we came across ‘Joe Sent Me’ on Google Maps. Parking in Cambridge is usually a pain, but we were lucky enough to find an open spot on the street behind the bar where there weren’t any NO PARKING SIGNS.
We sat at the bar, ordered a specialty Gin drink and a Shipyard Pumpkin with the caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon rim. Had the Buffalo Chicken dip as an appetizer, and yes, you have to get it! For dinner, we had Crispy Chicken wrap which my wife said was really good and I got the Cast Away burger, recommended by the bartender, with a side of sweet potato fries.
We took our time with the meal becuase we wanted to watch the football game, they had several TVs around the restaurant and 3 of them behind the bar. It wasn’t very crowded either for Monday night, and they had oldies music playing throughout. The next time we are in Arlington, I’m sure we will go back again for dinner and drinks!

This is our local establishment, and we have been here regularly. The food is consistently good with ample portions. Enjoyable soundtrack 1960s. Most recently, we arrived at 6:15, didn’t get the menu or water for 20 minutes (there was only one other table dining). But the place was freezing – everyone in the place was wearing coats, one woman wore mittens between bites!

I just moved to the area & have eaten here twice already! It’s such a laid back, chill atmosphere. The food & service is great. The Buffalo dip & Cuban are my favorites. Although this is a bar, it’s a good place for kids too. They burger sliders never disappoint!

Man! I made the huge mistake of going to a different bar, and I’m on my way to the one and only Joe Sent Me of Cambridge.
This bar is like Cheers. Everyone knows your name! Not just the bartenders, but even the regulars.
I stumbled into this bar about 6 months ago and have been coming 2-3 times a week. I usually get their quesadilla, wings, or anything on the sat brunch (can’t go wrong on that menu).
I left for about 2 months on vacation and when I returned the Owmer, Sandy shook my hand and asked where I had been! I felt very appreciated and welcomed. Jen & Steph are great bartenders and will remember your drink after two visits or less!
I don’t leave bad reviews, but I will definitely not be going back to that other bar.

Nice atmosphere, good vegetarian options, fast service, and large portions for a very reasonable price. The coleslaw was a bit flavorless but the burger and buffalo cauliflower were very good good. They were also very accommodating when I asked for a vegetarian version of the appetizer pizza.

Consistent, quality pub food with reasonable prices! We only go for Tuesday trivia and it’s a great time. Great host and atmosphere. A broad mix of ages but primarily college through 30’s. They don’t take reservations so you need to get there early to get a table.

Just an all around great bar. Not a dive, not a fancy gastropub. Just a good neighborhood bar, with a solid drink menu, good classic bar food and friendly servers who you’ll get to know if you go often enough.

I let him my 11 year old son order his food by phone to learn a thing outside of the school curriculum. When we picked the food up, a woman working at the bar politely explained which receipt he should keep and gave hm a compliment that he was polite and dealt with his order perfectly. She is always very kind, friendly and warm. We will go to the restaurant next time for dinner!!! The burger was also really delicious he said! Thank you for your hospitality!
