Quiet evening so we decided to try this restaurant.
Ms. Robin and Michael were great to chat with.
Everything was made fresh, nothing frozen.
Appetizers, we ordered onion rings.
Oh my delicious! All 6 of us truly enjoyed our dinners. We didn’t have room for dessert, however since everything was homemade we brought several desserts home.
Soooooooooo good.

This restaurant has some of the best breakfast food and servers. I went in to do a photoshoot for them a couple of weeks ago and they were very welcoming. The place itself is in a nice and quiet part of Palmer Lake with a very cozy ambiance.

As mentioned, the food is spectacular! I was able to try the Breakfast Pie as well as the Sweet Potato pancakes and both nearly put me in a food coma cause I didn’t want to stop eating.

Highly recommend this place if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and want a nice cozy feeling with wonderful food!

I took my mom here last week for breakfast and we both loved this place❣️Brittany took great care of us and we couldn’t believe how delicious the food was and then the owner came out and confirmed everything is made from scratch!!! Everything!!
This place has a special meaning now as I also realized that this used to be the “Villa at Palmer Lake”, where I worked as a waiter in the late 1980s. They really expanded the back deck and the outdoor space is perfect for weddings, parties and other events complete with a stage! I wish the new owners much success and I really hope that the Tri-Lakes residents really support this wonderful and delicious new restaurant! We’ll be back for dinner soon!!

We were first timers at Joe Mama’s in Palmer Lake. The restaurant is so quaint and very clean. The back deck is beautiful and has plenty is space for a large gathering in nicer weather. They are renovating a larger space in the back of the restaurant for larger events in the future. Food: my husband ordered the breakfast pie and I ordered the chicken fried steak with potatoes minus the eggs. The plates come with homemade jam which is delicious. Hubby’s meal came with green chile which I always try and I enjoyed it but would have like more spice (just my preference). I enjoyed everything except the cfs. It wasn’t crispy and was a bit tough to chew. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I am definitely going to be back though because of the amazing staff and I want to try the other items on the menu.

This building has been a revolving door for restaurants over the years. I truly hope Joe Mama’s makes it. I had heard good things about it, so tried it today. My wife and I went for breakfast Sunday morning. There weren’t many vehicles in the parking lot when we arrived. But it was first day of Daylight Savings so that may have influenced the crowd.
We were greeted immediately and seated. Waiter brought menus and took drink orders. He explained specials that were not on the menu. I went with breakfast burrito and my wife had mountain pie. The burrito was large, stuffed and smothered in delicious green chili. The mountain pie is eggs, cheese and meat over a mashed potato bottom. It came with a compote of green chili, fruit, toast, and, as the waiter explained, homemade jam.
The burrito was filling, and so I took half of it home. The reason was because they had homemade cinnamon rolls and turnovers in a case when you walk in. I was definitely making room for one of those. Heated up, with icing on the side, it was as good as any I have ever had.
I will be returning; they have Guinness on tap!

Food was really good at this fairly new establishment in Palmer Lake. The place was packed as well as their bar area. Staff was working their hearts out with the Rotary meeting and the rest of the Patrons. The Philly Cheese steak was good and should be a staple there. Fries were so so, and will sub out the next time I am there.

My husband and I frequent this place weekly. The food arrives just as good as the pictures you see online. It’s flavorful and always prepared fresh. Consistent every single time. The staff is very attentive and friendly and I love the front room with sunlight shining in the mornings. Can’t wait to try out the patio once it warms up.

Really this is about a 4.5 review. (Why doesn’t Google allow for 10th’s?) We were seated in a friendly little dining room with sun streaming in the south facing windows. Our cheerful and helpful server answered a bunch of questions including getting me chili rellenos from the breakfast menu. I had a choice of cream cheese or cheddar, neither of which are really traditional for rellenos. I picked the cream cheese, which turned out a bit odd. It’s just not the right filling. The chilis themselves were slightly sweet, but had no kick to them. They were also a bit thin. I will give credit that these were definitely made in house, not frozen. The coating was nice and crispy, and the pork green chili, excellent. Lots of hearty chunks of tender pork and a nice level of heat. The over medium eggs were a little closer to hard yolks and the breakfast potatoes were good enough.

One guest had the ribeye steak, which was by far the most expensive thing on the menu at $32. But the steak was HUGE, at least 16oz, and very well cooked. Mid rare in the center with a good sear. It was quality. She enjoyed the asparagus and the skin-on mashers. My other guest had the chicken fried steak, which needed a lot more seasoning. But it was a good piece of meat, with not too much coating and nicely fried. She gave high marks to the corn on the cob.

I had a properly poured Guiness and the others had lemonades. We got a Philly Cheese Steak to go, which my son thought was pretty good. Total with tip and tax was about $130 which seems like reasonable value for 4. Our server was very attentive and chatty. She gets an “A”.

This was our first visit to this new-ish local restaurant and it certainly won’t be our last. The combination of good food, great service and fun atmosphere is a winner!

This is a wonderful little place that has shockingly good breakfast. Also—I asked for hot sauce, and they brought me a basket with 9 different options! As a hot-sauce lover—this was pretty awesome. Please eat here so it sticks around for a long time!
