The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent from start to finish. One of my favorite things was the garlic bread — it was incredibly flavorful and the perfect way to start the meal. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was outstanding, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also had the fried raviolis, which were so tasty and a great appetizer. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and I’m already looking forward to going back again soon.

Fantastic experience on a date night with my wife. Service was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and top- notch. Food was equally phenomenal with generous portions and excellent taste. Excellent varied menu – we will be returning as there were so many excellent choices. Highly recommended – I am sure all of their locations provide the same level of service and offerings.

This was my 1st time ever here. After living in this area for 25+ years.

I’ve had better chicken parm from a pizza shop. The cutlet was very thin, about an 1/8 of an inch thick. It was also tasteless.

Lasagna was ok, 2 out of 5 (5 being the highest)

Spaghetti was good, 5 out of 5

Meatballs were good, 5 out of 5

Service was good and the atmosphere was great.

Our waitstaff Ms. Deborah C, was one of the most friendly and welcoming. She was attentive to all our needs and made sure the food was served in a timely manner.
We ordered lobster Bisque soup, which was delicious and warm. The Salmon was excellent too.
Our sincere thanks to Deborah C, keep smiling. You are awesome.

I would never recommend this place for anyone who wants to bring a large party. My brother-in-law called earlier in the day to say he would bring in a party of 16 ppl. They said they didn’t do reservation but would note it. His dad comes in before the time we said we would be there and puts in a name. They said an hour and thirty mins. He said okay understanding the restaurant was packed at 6 o’clock. We ended up waiting more than 2 hours going on 3 with no timing on when we would get seated. The kids were hungry and tired and it seemed like no one cared. We ordered drinks and even waited respectfully. But only got eye rolls and annoyance from the hostess. So we took all 16 people to olive garden and had a better atmosphere and were treated so much better. Then we were waiting at maplewood. They also tried to seat us on opposite sides of the restaurant which I thought was inappropriate and should have been said from the beginning and not after 2 1/2 hours. Will never go there again and the restaurant definitely lost money especially with the rude hostess.

recently went here during prime time (around 6:15 pm) on a friday night to get a takeout order for myself. the place was packed with a 40 minute wait time for those standing/sitting around to get a table.

stephen approached & asked if i was picking up an order. i told him i wanted to place a takeout order. he said it would be 40 minutes to get the order. i told him i would come back another time since i can’t drive in the dark & i had come when it was so busy. he said to wait & he’d see what he could do. shortly after this he reappeared & said he could have my order out in 15 or 20 minutes.

not only did he get the order to me in 15 minutes but ran back in twice to the kitchen to add small things to the order . stephen was amazing, professional & friendly & i want to give a shout out to him for his valuable service to me at a very busy time at this great restaurant!

stephen, thank you for helping me have a wonderful first delicious dinner in my new apartment after being displaced by a fire that totally destroyed my home! i just had been relocated to my new apartment after having stayed in a local hotel for almost a month. you are truly appreciated for what you did for me!

the kindness of strangers is truly a gift during difficult times!

Maplewood has been around for years..The wait was 1hr for food on a Tuesday night. Otherwise, it would have been 4 stars. The Shrimp scampi was excellent. The garlic bread was good. The salad was just ok-bland. Homemade pasta is the way to go.
We would come back to try it again.

All I can say is… this place is phenomenal! We ate here on a Sunday and arrived when they opened at 1pm. It’s a great sign that they were half full by 1:15 and had a full house by 2pm.

There isn’t one thing that was disappointing.  The restaurant itself is cute and warmly decorated. Our server Sarah was on point from beginning to end. She greeted us right way and took our drink order. She also gave several good recommendations to our menu questions. Each table is served a loaf of fresh, warm Italian bread, homemade garlic bread and family style salad with their own vinaigrette. Both types of bread were fantastic! The garlic bread is exceptional. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops. The bacon was crisp and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t fatty or soggy. It was really perfect! Scallops were tender and the wasabi dipping sauce had just enough kick. My entrée was the 18 oz. cowboy ribeye, medium rare with sautéed spinach and broccoli rabe and garlic. The steak was superb, cooked perfectly and very tender. My veggies were excellent. Both bright green so I am assuming they got them from a local farm. They were both in a light broth with a little oil. Broccoli rabe had a touch of red pepper flakes so they had a kick.

My husband had the menu special. Twin lobster tails with crab meat stuffing and their homemade pasta AND homemade sauce. He raved about everything. The lobster was tender and the stuffing was mostly lump crabmeat.  However, he is still talking about the pasta. I know this phrase is over used but… he was blown away. Then Sarah came back with another round of bread! Needless to say we were stuffed when we left and the price was absolutely more than reasonable.

We decided that EVERY time we go to Atlantic City we will, without a doubt, stop at Joe’s for lunch or dinner.

Was not expecting it to be as good as it was. From the bread to the main top tier gem. I had the pork chop Italiano and lobster bites. 10/10. I was staying in town and this was as good as any place I’ve eaten in Philly or NYC. Also had the Italian Manhattan, perfectly balanced drink.

So ive tried several times. First moorestown. Then hammonton. Then mays landing. Now hammonton again. My best experience was mays landing. So heres my take- the service was average. The food…every. Single. Time. Was just okay. Im not sure why this place is popular. I mean am i ordering incorrectly? If i am, why is something mediocre even on the menu? Salad is sad. Bread was good enough. My meal was completely tasteless. It really was just pasta, olive oil and pepper flakes. Nothing fresh, no salt. I guess the chef doesnt taste his food before it goes out? Who knows. Dont bother. Over priced for mediocre Italian food.
