Can honestly say this is some of the best BBQ we’ve had being up north! Not only was the woman who took our order beyond personable and such a sweetheart (sorry I didn’t get her name! She was such a joy!) the food was amazing! Our daughter LOVED their mac and cheese and so did we, we got a whole pint!! We got pulled pork, brisket, hush puppies, coleslaw (AMAZING), burnt ends, corn bread, mac and cheese. It was so so so good I will recommend this place constantly and definitely be back!!!!

I had been meaning to go here since I found out that a BBQ restaurant. So today I choose to make that happen and I was not disappointed. The service was great served with a smile and great conversation. The food was delicious and as you are able to tell that brisket sandwich was well eaten. The photos shows you the ambience offered. I really enjoyed my experience here. Oh yeah, I forgot mention that it’s BYOB, so don’t forget to bring your bottle. I had an Arnold Palmer made of homemade lemonade and iced tea. Delicious

My family and I had an incredible experience at this restaurant. We were greeted by a warm and friendly woman named Deb, who turned out to be the owner. Her passion and dedication to her customers were evident in every interaction. Deb took our orders, served us delicious food, and even held my baby so I could finish eating. The cookies, homemade drinks, and overall ambiance were all fantastic. My husband and I couldn’t resist and continued to eat, ordering more food and even taking some back for our other children. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, but the food was truly to die for.

Joe Bosco BBQ is a true hidden gem in the Poconos. Every visit has been consistently excellent, with standout dishes that showcase genuine craft and care. The brisket is incredibly tender and flavorful, practically melting in your mouth. The pork belly burnt ends are rich and perfectly caramelized, and the mac and cheese delivers exactly what you’d hope for, creamy, cheesy comfort. Even the sides and BBQ sauce hit the mark, rounding out an already impressive menu.
The atmosphere is welcoming, and the people behind the place make the experience even better. The owner brings a confident, no-nonsense charm, and her daughter adds a gracious, kind touch to the service. Highly recommend for anyone seeking authentic, top-tier barbecue.
Call ahead for best results if you’re looking for something specific. This is standard everywhere across the US. Great meat sells out.

A few friends and I stumbled upon this place while visiting the area and we had an amazing experience! 10/10! The food was delicious, some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a while. I got the pulled pork sandwich, cornbread, and Mac and cheese. I enjoyed every part of my meal! Customer service was fantastic as well! A party of 10-15 people came in right before us and all of my group ordered different meats, so 2 of my friends had to wait about 10-15 mins longer for their food. The staff was apologetic throughout the wait and we were even given 2 caramel banana puddings and cornbread to take home on the house to make up for the wait. A very kind gesture and not to mention, the banana puddings were also delicious! My friends and I all agreed on what a gem this place was!

Grabbed takeout on our way to a weekend getaway. Everything was packed and wrapped really well. Got the half chicken, it was really tender and juicy even after being reheated. The pulled pork was great, solid portions love the addiction of the picked onions and jalapeño to brighten up the sandwhich. Baked beans were great with large chunks of brisket, flavored well. French fries felt hand cut well seasoned. Ribs were fall off the bones tender. Hush puppies were so delicious, not oily. Would absolutely stop by their place again. The inside is really spacious and would be great for large gatherings. Home made sweat tea was perfectly sweet. I was taken care of by the owner who was incredibly kind, made me feel very welcomed!

Fairly good food. Horrendous customer service.
My husband and I stopped by after a motorcycle + hiking trip over the weekend and were excited to try this place, but unfortunately that excitement started to die fairly quickly as we started on an off note when the cashier made a weirdly agressive comment questioning my request to have bbq sauce on my wings but also get some honey sriracha on the side as I placed my order.
After ordering we were given a buzzer and sat outside on their patio. About 45 minutes passed without a buzz and I had heard what sounded like some names being called, so I figured I’d check if there was a problem with the buzzers or if things were just taking a while. As I was asking the nice gal who was running food and she was midway through politely answering my question, the cashier rudely interrupted her to shout at me that the wait is over an hour and if it hasn’t been an hour my food isn’t ready and don’t come back to ask unless it’s been at least that long. This was news to me and I figured I was being very patient and polite in pointedly NOT complaining, and that it should be expected for patrons to ask a question if there has been an unusually long wait. As I was up there, I did hear that they had started to warn the folks who were newly coming in, which was something positive, I suppose. When my buzzer finally went off, after about 1hr 15min or so of waiting, there was a side missing from the order. I hesitated even to bring this up because of how every interaction at the counter had gone so far, but they were quick to address this without extra comments, so no trouble there.
As far as the food went — sausage was amazing, the wings and hush puppies were good, the brussel sprouts were okay, and the cole slaw was underwhelming.
The bathroom was pretty dirty and didn’t have toilet paper.
I’m an easy going gal, and not hard to please. But all in all this experience was a let down, mostly because of the weirdly mean treatment I got from the cashier. I get being busy! It was a holiday weekend, it happens. I get standing up for yourself if a customer is being difficult too, but I always go out of my way to be a polite guest in a restaurant and to get treated like trash over one simple request and a polite question was unpleasant and uncalled for. The “always served humble and kind” signs in multiple locations throughout the resturant made this experience feel incredibly ironic. So yeah, if it wasn’t for the nasty cashier I would have overlooked the long wait, the bathroom situation, being charged $2+ for a tiny cup of honey sriracha sauce, the missing side, the couple of lackluster dishes and STILL probably left 4 or 5 stars, but this left a really bad taste in my mouth. Won’t be back on our next trip to the Water Gap.
